CB's Grim Frequencies AP OOC -- COMPLETE

Forged Fury, I'd like you to please edit into your RG entry for Cyril any default descriptions for psionic power displays that you want for him. That way, when I reference Cyril's sheet, everything I need for IC description of the psionics stuff is at my fingertips.

Thanks for your patience. I've educated myself and agree that "average" hit points after 1st level should be x.5 hit points per level, rounding up at odd levels and rounding down at even levels. I will edit the OP of this thread to reflect this rule.

Gah... checked this thread to find a number of contradictory answers for HP - as this is the most recent post I assume it's accurate?

To confirm, I had been doing half HD (round up) per level, i.e. for T-dawg (Tough/Thrasher): 10 (1st level) + 1d10 (6) + 1d10 (6) + 1d12 (7) + 1d12 (7) = 36 plus Con bonus/level, etc.

Per the above post, it sounds like I should be doing half HD per level (round up), i.e.: 10 (1st level) + 1d10 (5.5) + 1d10 (5.5) + 1d12 (6.5) + 1d12 (6.5) = 34 plus Con bonus/level, etc.

Is that correct? If so I'll update RG to reduce T-dawgs HP by 2.

Sorry, gribble, you've caught us in the process of hashing out how best to effect hit point accrual beyond 1st level. And, yes, my most recent post stands firm. Earlier this evening, I additionally updated the originating post ("OP") in this thread to reflect the now-permanent way we will be handling hit point accrual. Henceforth, every time you level up, please refer to the OP if you've forgotten what we do. If, like me, you have a metric ton going on both in real life and in your gaming, you probably very easily forget what has been memorialized throughout any given thread. My hope is that by collating the important tidbits and placing them in the OP, we'll all know where to go.

Thanks!

All good, will update accordingly.

Not quite.

1st level: 10 (+Con modifier, if any)
2nd level: 5 (5.5, rounded down)
3rd level: 6 (5.5, rounded up)
4th level: 6 (6.5, rounded down)
5th level: 7 (6.5, rounded up)

TOTAL: 34 + (T-dawg's Constitution modifer x 5)

Please, Dear God, let my math be correct.

Please, Dear God, let my math be correct.
Thanks for clarifying. I'm pretty sure that mathematically, what you've outlined and what I've outlined will be 100% identical for level 5 (and, in fact, any odd numbered level). It does mean that we'll take a bit of a hit on the even numbered levels (1 hp fewer than "average, round up"), but we make up for it on the even levels.

Also, for T-dawg it's slightly higher than that: 34 + Con mod x5 + 3 (Tough level), due to the robust Tough talent.
:)

Agreed. Your and my end result was (were? It must be time for bed if I'm getting my grammar wrong) identical. The method, however, for calculating said result was different; thus, the clarification. I screw up so many things that where I can clarify in public for all to see, I think it benefits not just you but other players reading this thread.

Thanks again, all, for being patient.

Ugh math is hard and I am thoroughly confused. In my mind half my HP (1d8) is 4 plus my Con modifier of +2. So in my mind at lvl 5 J.R. would have 34 HP. If that is incorrect I will just roll the die. Let me know.
