"Well, if she's stopping us from entering Dol Blathanna, maybe our next step is to make sure she wants to see us," mutters the sorceress darkly. "Because I've just about had enough of this."

She eyed the elf beadily. "So what say you? Can we take Odvara to your people without confronting Nan? Or is she an obstacle that must first be cleared?"

"That would be up to Francesca I'm afraid to my understanding though no one gets in."

Being that the pitcher brought by the host was only as large as a traditional dwarven stein, Barakor slurps from the pitcher of ale while listening to this exchange. He belches contentedly and asks, "Well if the elf queen sent you to tell us she's not letting anyone in, what use will you be?"

"The one no one can find unless she wants them to find her?" Talashia shrugs. "Very well. If you can find Old Nan, lets do that. Once the sun comes up, that is."

"Alright, Ol Nan in the morning. For this moment however, I'm going to run a quick errand. I shall return momentarily."

With that Elora excused herself from the table and made her way up the stairs to Odvara's room. She rapped lightly on the door, not wanting to scare the poor girl, but loud enough she'd hear.

Tamaran smiles glad that the situation is defused. Racking his brains he wonders the best way to find the one they called hag.

"Go see if you can find some trace of old Nan, return by daybreak either way"

As you bind your wounds and discuss your plans for the morrow, the red moonlight slowly softens. It may take till dawn before it is gone completely, and until then the time for sleep is at hand. The drowners are slain. The swords washed down and honed. The wounds cleaned. The magic settled.

[SECTION]There is silence until Elora's second light rap upon Odvara's room. Shuffling over, the black-haired half-elf cracks the door slightly to peer out. "Oh, it's you, I thought that... I heard terrible sounds..." She quickly embraces Elora, her heart beating fast, fingers clenching into the back of Elora's dress. Fear. Real fear. It was the kind of emotion that could keep one alive, but for a Source especially it could be a double-edged sword.

Realizing she's standing in the upstairs hall in her shift, Odvara quickly lets go, ushering Elora inside a bit. Her fingers trail over a sleeve of Elora's dress stained with mud and torn by one of the drowners. "Are you hurt? It sounded like fighting. Talashia? And the witchers? I was so worried."

Even as she speaks, Elora's eyes pick out an unusual pendant made of obsidian and metallic beads draped over the top of Odvara's change of clothes for the morning. She never wore that pendant as far as Elora recalls during their travels over the Blue Mountains together. Catching Elora's eye, Odvara hastily says, "Margarita the sorceress gave it to me. It's to keep the bad dreams at bay."[/SECTION]
