Well, my wish would probably be along the lines of as much time as possible before the official game gets wrecked (either by products released, corporate factors, or the community).

If that's too abstract then I guess what I have been thinking about lately is an adventure or box set along the lines of the Starter set and LMOP. That box got me to look at published adventures and I got a ton of enjoyment out of it. Perhaps if they start in a new setting they will release one to tie into adventures set there but otherwise they could include tie in to existing and future adventures.

More modules. Either in new fashioned sense of "rules modules" which captures playstyles and options not captured in the current rules or the old fashioned adventuring modules (not adventure paths that require building a whole damn campaign around it, but an old fashioned discrete adventure).

Sharing a nice smoky bottle of Glenmorangie scotch with a roomful of game designers like Gary Gygax and Dave Arnseon, Christopher Perkins, Wolfgang Baur, Mike Mearls, Ari Marmell, Russ Morrissey, David "Zeb" Cook, Monte Cook, and a dozen more designers without any deadlines. Just time to shoot the breeze and soak in their gaming wisdom. Especially about the future of D&D and role-playing games. :)

Excellent choice, sir.

Ironically, I suppose the dead ones on that list don't have any deadlines.

Why thank you. If there ended up being too many of us, like a hundred cool cats from ENWorld, I would settle for a Laphroaig. But it's a wish, so why not shoot the moon?

I'm really interested in what's going to happen to our hobby and how I can be a good steward of the best that D&D has to offer. Just bought my nephew and my sister's boyfriend's daughters the D&D Starter Set. I think my sister stared daggers at me over the phone when they opened it. Hehe.

Ya know, I saw the D&D movie recently, and I realized that if it had just been called some generic fantasy name, "Night of the Dragonlord" or something, it would be just like any other ok B grade fantasy film.

Which brings me to my one wish, a goshdarn high budget D&D movie from an acclaimed director, preferably with a trilogy in mind from the start.

An "Art of War" book that does justice (and then some) to past-edition Martial options like the Warblade and Warlord, probably (why not) in the context of some expanded tactical rules (both improved TotM & 'grid'), and outright large-scale miniatures & stronghold rules to tie it all together.

If you check my DMsGuild channel later this year, you might get your wish (it's on my bucket list of projects).
