I had a country in my world where the land was ruled by a female ruler, who did not allow her people to own anything, but held everything in common. She discovered, to her shock and chagrin, that seeds were not planted at planting time, and the crops that were grown were not gathered during the harvest. She was using magic to create clothes for her people because no one else would make clothes.

One of the players reacted to the situation with a frank discussion. He patiently explained to her the advantages of the capitalist system, which allows people to earn a profit from their own labor, which encourages them to work and grow crops and produce goods.

Unfortunately, there is no way to convince a Communist of anything, so this attempt at the persuasion skill went nowhere.

The players solved the problem by taking a time machine hundreds of years in the past, and wiping out her country retroactively by changing certain apparently unimportant events. They went back to their own time, and found the country tranformed to a republic inhabited by halflings.

Have fun. But really, that's not socialism or communism.
But yeah, have fun, it's all good in fantasy.
