Ewan McGregor was one of the best bits of the prequels. I'd love a solo Kenobi film set after Revenge of the Sith but before A New Hope.
The Jedi Master on a reluctant adventure, trying to avoid using the Force or their Lightsaber to avoid attracting Imperial attention. Likely the result of an old friend asking for help.
Introduce some other new characters and worlds that can be expanded in later movies.
Plus, they need to explain how one of Rey's parent was conceived, right?

Set in between the prequels, explore a bit about how the Obi-Wan / Anakin relationship gradually went sour.
Set before the first movie, explore Qui-Jon Jinn as seen by Obi-Wan - and how that affects Obi-Wan later when he tries to apprentice Anakin despite everybody else's objections.
If you set this movie during Luke Skywalker's childhood, you have to completely obscure the "Jedi stuff" that would draw fans and casual watchers in the first place.

Maybe revealing Obi-Wan's biological parents revealing Ezra's mother is his niece since that would neatly explain a descendant of Obi-Wan without upsetting anyone wondering why Ben didn't train them to help protect Luke?!
Maybe a Magnificent Seven movie set on Tattooine except he's the eventual sole survivor staying out of sight but helping thwart an attempt to cause the Tusken Raiders to join into an army to wipe out the residents similar to what Darth Krayt did in legends before Disney took over the Star Wars comics?
