The rope ladder leads up to a short ceiling armory or trophy room of some sort. The walls have been decorated with weapons and shields from former and current prisoners. Thia sees off to one side supplies of some sort and off to the other a chest that is overflowing with what the drow might consider junk.

Atop the junk chest sits her orc talisman she took off the very first of the beasts she killed during the Thousand Orcs invasion of her homeland. And next to that is...

"Hmm... my good luck charm," Kildrak says seeing the grimlock ponytail in the junk chest. Noticing he can hear again the dwarf grins. But the smile turns into concern as he hears the noise coming up from bellow.

"Hey! Let me go! Let me go, my sister may need me!"

Thia puts on the talisman immediately. As she starts to gather her stuff she hears the noise below. She rushes over to the ladder to see what's going on below. "Keep your voices down," She hisses through clenched teeth.

Kildrak collects what he recognized as his own belongings including a shield off of the wall that was familiar to him, and looks for any one-handed weapon heavier than the shortsword. He finally picks up a war-pick and grins and thinks back on his Clan's mining days as a lad.

OOC: Edited due to seeing OOC post after posting here.

"We need to move fast, if this is going to work. But gathering some supplies is the only sane action." She takes a shortsword off of a guard, and joins those exploring the tower. She takes possesion of her own things, then climbs back down.

OOC: After the players have collected some gear.

As you buckle on armor and fit weapons as best you can without proper belts and sheathes. Other prisoners make their way up to the armory and back down in groups of two and three. All except Shuushar and Stool who wait by the first archway (leads back to slave pen), and Derendril who has Turvy grasped by the collar as the deep gnome tries feebly to free himself.

NPC_Turvy.jpg "My sister is out there! I need to go help her!" he hollers once more.

Thia finishes donning her armor and drops back down to the main level. "Does anyone have any sense of when the guards might change again?"

With Turvy's outburst, she gets in his face and growls, "If you yell one more time, I'll knock you over the head and leave you here for the guards to find later. Do you understand? Now quietly, what sister? Where is she?"

OOC: She also is looking to see who might be injured for future casting of cure wounds.
I'll let the DM roll Intimidate if it needs to be done. Thia's Intimidate is +4.

OOC: I goofed - have to remember that not all the NPCs speak common. Finnan could have translated though.

Thia learns that Turvy's sister shape-changed into a rat and must have slipped by everyone during the fight. Turvy was chasing after her when he was horse-collared by the big quaggoth Derendil. She is now somewhere in the other part of the outpost alone.

The group of prisoners are tightly gathered in the small guard room when Kildrak asks his question...

"What's the plan?"

Eldath hefts the mace she retrieved from the armory and says in a sad tone. "I can no leave me great grandpa's hammer in the grip of these evil elves. Ye need not come, but I am going to get it back or do die in the try'n."

"I guess it wasn't in the room upstairs?" Thia asks. "Assaulting the other part of the outpost will be nigh impossible, Eldath. And I doubt most of your fellow prisoners are willing to take that risk. The larger the group of us moving around over there the bigger the risk of detection. The smaller the group of us the bigger the risk of death after discovery.

"We were able to defeat these three with the help of my silence spells. But I cannot do that again without a good rest. I have no idea how we can do it. I propose we take all this rope and work on getting those who will not help you out of here first. Then we can see what we have to work with afterwards."
