The this UA assumes everyone owns Tasha's which I find absurd even though I do own it.

Aberrant, Clockwork, and even though it's not in this packet Divine Soul have alot of spells known, 22+subclass spells VS 15+subclass spells Sorcerers.

Why?

From a conceptual space, while on the one hand it makes sense from a Concentration point of view I guess I want it to be more of a battle of the mind/will/whatever between casters.

I also dont like that it doesnt appear to impact innate magic, but I'm not sure I have a better solution yet.

Note that in the actual printing of the 2024 PHB, anything from Tasha's will just be reprinted, so the Sorcerer will have the Aberrant and Clockwork subclasses reprinted in it. And, tbh, the UA is naturally going to draw in the more invested DnD players that probably have Tasha's already.

They shouldn't assume that. They should just put them in the UA. Also given it is if that line of spells Summon Dragon from Fizban's will hopefully make it too.

I do think that they could have folded superiority dice into second wind for the core class, and had the core class only use it for add dice to checks or using second wind. That way the BM could smoothly have extra dice, and players who don’t like that gameplay are just tracking how many times they can add 1d10 to a d20 test or regain 1d10+fighter level HP as a bonus action.

Even indomitable fits into that paradigm, and could just be “if you use Heroic Determination to increase the result of a Saving Throw, you can add your fighter level to the result.”

Pact of the Blade and Pact of the Tome don't have level requirements dispite being more powerful then Pact of the Chain which requires level 2+, they should dump the level requirement for it.

AlsoI love the changes to BM manuevers. Commander’s Strike is actually good now.

Also I really want to use the BM manuvers on a Monk. I hope (but don’t expect) they add BM to the SRD someday lol

I’m assuming they didn’t put the two Tasha subclasses in the UA because they are not up to be changed. The team feels they are already up to par with their current design philosophy. No point putting something in the UA that will not be changing regardless of feedback.
