Does anyone know of any well-developed rules that add depth to the survival mechanisms in 5e? I'm particularly interested in a system that the Ranger doesn't bypass by virtue of its class abilities.
I'd still love a game with an RPG seamlessly integrated into a tabletop wargame. I'm glad they didn't go with those new mass combat rules. Those were "how to use war as a set-piece for an adventure" not "how to do wargaming in D&D". I'm not sure they'll ever actually do it, but at least it's...
