well, to bring this off topic, but... where can I buy dice individually? Apparently I live in a bad location with no FLGS nearby... Or I could pay up and pay the $13 for the Essentials Dice at Borders.

Whew, wow, this thread received some replies. The fact that there are 4d6 really cleared it up for me, thanks. And I removed most of the inappropriate content as well. What's odd was when I went to Five and Below I never saw dice but WTF! I should have spent my gift card on that instead of a bag...

Okay, so I'm new to the forums, and although this isn't really about 4e, but heck, everyone's talking about Essentials and I'm talking about an essentials product, so I guess that works out for me. So, today, I was looking up all the Essentials products when I saw the essentials dice. Well...

Does the adventure booklets state for what level the adventure is for?

Seriously? I find this after I print 10 pages for 5 characters with the old character sheet. >.< Well, I'll take a look at it. I need to see the difference.

So... if I bought the DM's Kit, would I still need to buy a copy of the DMG?

I also don't seem to understand who WotC is aiming this product for: old players who played the original D&D or new players looking to join in the D&D party, because how is the box supposed to introduce and be nostalgic at the same time? New players wouldn't know what the old Red Box looked like...

So is the book included in here have the same exact contents of the DMG?

Let's all just hope WotC realizes their mistakes in the red box and fixes them in the retail version. If they don't, well, that's just another error of the long chain of errors they've made. Although they might argue "it's for starting players", it's even worse for starting players to play with...
