Oh interesting, I had no idea! Thanks for sharing. I do enjoy them bringing cameos like that back in when they revisit stuff. Helps me learn more about the game's history. I'm off to the DMs Guild now to get that supplement and learn more!
Very true! My point was that Farrow is the first character I can recall being firmly tied to Mystara, as in canonically mentioned in the text of an adventure. In the case of GoSM and JttRC they offer suggestions on how one might port an adventure into Mystara.
So to your point, yeah they've...
Greyhawk as the included setting makes sense for the 50th anniversary of the game, but in terms of scope, the Nentir Vale really provides a lot of "blank spaces on the map" for new/novice DM's to expand and populate for their games. It's a really compact "setting" that be infinitely expanded...
Ok, plot twist. I tried emailing the address specified in the newsletter (dmg@roll20.net) and got a mailer-daemon response saying it doesn't exist.
Weird.
The hour has come! Kind of...
Got a newsletter from DMs Guild asking to hear about compatible supplements. Seems like enough of a confirmation for me.
Should have just waited a few more hours!
I believe there was. I remember seeing it in the Newsletter that DMs Guild sends out. May have only been like a week before launch though 😆
But yeah, I asked the above question because I've been working on a few little Planescape-y things that I would love to see the light of day!
I've been looking around to try and find any announcement about Planescape being opened up as a setting that can be used for Community Content on the DMs Guild. I haven't found anything as of yet.
We knew Spelljammer was going to be available prior to the boxed set launch, so I expected to hear...
I didn't see it posted anywhere else so I thought I'd share that the Shadowdark Independent Game Jam hosted by Baron de Ropp of Dungeon Masterpiece is currently in it's voting phase.
You have until 11:59 pm EST on Monday July 24 to vote!

If questions can be asked, I'd be really curious about what, if any, other settings can be opened up on the DMs Guild. Presumably we're getting Planescape later this year, but I would love to see Greyhawk and the Nentir Vale.
Perhaps less relevant, but still novel IMO is that a black obelisk shows up in the adventure D0: Danger at Darkshelf Quarry in the mines near the village of Darkshelf.
This adventure was a new 1E adventure included in the special Against the Slave Lords compilation as a prequel adventure to A1...
The final versions of these license and the YZE SRD have now been released here.
Really great to have some freedom to design for these systems. I've been playing some of the Dragonbane Beta content and it's a really interesting system, very excited for this.
EDIT: I would suggest this post be...
I got into Indie Publishing last year with two play aids and a Wildspace System creation guide for Spelljammer. Planning on releasing some adventures and rules options this year. About 80% complete on an adventure module for 5E that can run as a standalone adventure or as an add-on for a Ghosts...
These would be a must for me.
I got back into D&D after a 10 year hiatus during the tail end of 4E and the long combats eventually took their toll on my group. Luckily D&D Next was right around the corner and the combats seemed extremely fast in comparison.
Other comments about supporting the...
I will finish the Saltmarsh campaign I'm running and will certainly revisit 5E, but my players have already expressed interest in different systems/IP's so I'm pretty confident we will move on to something else when it's over. I don't plan to purchase anything else from WotC in the near future...
