    Uneasy Partnerships

I've been gaming since the early 80s. In that time I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on game products - I've done my part. In that time, I can count on one hand how many times I've participated in-store events. When I started gaming, the LGS was the only way to obtain products. Now I can...

    Starship Bridge Battles

You should check out "Red Alert" by Michael Callahan. It's for Savage Worlds but you may be able to glean some useful stuff from it. www.savageheroes.com/conversions/red_alert.doc

First time at Gen Con - Need some tips

To quote myself from one of the previous threads... I'd also suggest Conner Prairie which is a living history museum of an 1836 frontier town with costumed reenactors. On our last vist, the local doctor opined about the current president (he wasn't a fan of Andrew Jackson). When children...

What name would you like the next iteration of D&D to bear?

Yep. I kinda like Legacy or Legacies too. How about Dungeons & Dragons Unity Edition (or Unification) ? While I hope they can achieve their stated goal of unifying the editions, I have serious doubts. I am eager to see what they come up with.

    D&D Experience: January 26th-29th, 2012

Sorry to nitpick, but it's NOT in Indianapolis January 26th-29th, 2012. During that time, Indy is hosting a little event known as Super Bowl XLVI. Fort Wayne, Indiana is about 2 hours northeast of Indianapolis.

Over 36 thousand Gen Con 2011 attendies

They won't run out of space anytime soon. In the past, exhibit halls A-E were used by GenCon. This year, E was used for card/board games, and A-D weren't used at all. Dealers room (halls H-J) was much less confined than past years. Judging from the aisle carpets, the aisleways appeared to...

So who's going to Gen Con?

I can't find it on the website (I swear the GenCon website is one of the most user unfriendly sites I've ever had the misfortune to use), but IIRC, children 8 and under are free. You are required to register them and get an wristband so they can match the little ones to parent if you get...
