    Final Fantasy style "Blue Mage"?

There is an appropriate Wizard Utility you could use to base this sort of thing off of: Beneficient Transformation at Level 16. It's a daily that basically lets you copy a trait of a nearby enemy, such as resistances, special senses, or movement modes for an encounter.

    Mounted combat KD question

For what it's worth, I found the exact quote from the Warden Essentials article: So the article didn't just make the claim that this worked for Nature's Wrath, but for any free action on your turn. Take from that what you will, I stole that quote from...

    Mounted combat KD question

This isn't actually what happens when you spend an action point - spending the action point is a free action, but the only effect of spending an action point is gaining an extra action on your turn - you don't immediately take the extra action. So the reason you can't make that standard action...

    Mounted combat KD question

Just to note, this is actually how the warden's marking mechanic works. Nature's Wrath: Once during each of your turns, you can mark each adjacent enemy as a free action. This mark lasts until the end of your next turn. In addition, you gain the warden’s fury and warden’s grasp powers. You...

    Mounted combat KD question

I think RAW, you resolve the effects of the MBA granted by Two-Weapon Opening before the effects of the critical hit, essentially interrupting the critical hit after the attack roll. The trigger occurs when you roll the natural 20 on your attack roll (scoring a critical hit), and the free action...

    Monk Basics is up!

Yes, ki focuses are useful to every class, implement or weapon-using. You can use the enhancement bonuses of your ki focus on weapon attacks. From the compendium:

    Attack powers with "Sustain Minor"

As fun as it would be, the Compendium states: "(You can sustain an effect once per turn.)" You also can't sustain the power on the turn you first use it.

    Hybrid Monk/Ranger

Well if you really felt like it, you could grab Two-weapon Fighting with your hybrid talent feat, and bastard sword proficiency with your second feat. This gets you the same dual-wielding +3 d10 weapons, and you get Toughness as a bonus feat. However, then you're playing the all-too-common...

    Hybrid Monk/Ranger

If this is indeed the turn structure you're looking for, it's not going to work. A hybrid monk can only use their flurry of blows after hitting with a monk or monk paragon path power. A hybrid ranger can only apply their quarry damage after hitting with a ranger power. So, if you use Twin...

Free updated adventures with maps: Stolen Staff and Tallinn's Tower

I had played around with Tailinn's Tower at Level 2 at one point and I will agree that for the average low-level party that first fight is not fun. At all. I liked that the encounter forced the party to make the choice between a high chance of triggering the trap or summoning more monsters, but...

    [Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

Our luck's held so far, the fast path seems agreeable.

Blackguard/Fighter Hybrid Build - Need Help

While I find it easily possible that the Hybrid Blackguard will only allow you to take Dread Smite for your Encounter power, I have to disagree with Estlor's supposition that you won't be able to choose your At-will. There is no language, no rules in the Hybrid Blackguard writeup that would...

    [Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

Jogging along at a brisk pace, Eryto tries to hold the shuddering raft together while propelling it forward. Athletics - 1d20+9 = 27; Endurance - 1d20+7 = 18

    [Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

With everyone onboard, Eryto whips out his chain and tears the bridge from its bindings. He then pushes with all his strength, choking at the effort required. "Accursed stone-men - mere bone and muscle ought not to weigh this much!" Regardless of his complaining, the raft begins to slide forward...

    Question on Immediate Interrupts

This power can't prevent the fighter mark - that occurs whether the fighter hits or misses. And it's an encounter power, so I don't see blocking a single hit from the rogue as a big deal in terms of grind. I feel like the only thing that makes sense is for him to interrupt the rogue's attack.
