Really? I mentioned Gardens of the Moon in the August thread. Couldn't finish it. It seems Erikson assumes that the reader knows as much about the world as he does and as a result he doesn't bother to explain anything. I'd really like to like this series, the world seems very well thought out...

I closed Gardens of the Moon around page 200 and don't plan on picking it up again. :\ I'll try some of the other books mentioned in this thread.

Don't forget DnDi. This may or may not be the reason for the smaller books, but you'll have more content thru that if you choose to buy it.

You'll need to upgrade your pencil drivers, unfortunately they don't support pencil 1.0 and the manufacturer won't be releasing new firmware. You're going to have to buy a whole new pencil.

After carefully considering the distinction between the two subgenres I can definitively say I prefer a balance between the two. :D

If you want to get rid of the idiotic permissions pop-ups (I freaking hate them) go to Start/Accessories/Run...type "msconfig" without the quotes, go to the Tools tab and scroll down to Disable UAC. Click on it, click Launch, when the command box is done close it and reboot. No more pop-up B.S...
