Hello there I have a concept that I want to make for the next game starting this Saturday. We use standard point buy. He will either be half elf or human.
Little backstory. He is/was part of an organization that hunts criminals that change planes to avoid capture/justice. On his first mission...
Hello there! In our current game one of our parties ventured into Chult to stop Acererak. We have a ongoing story line about a planar convergence happening soon. During this convergence "Words of Making" can be used to change the world. Words of Making are god magic that can alter the past...
As he is a necromancer. Any combination of undead works. They may not be synergystic but a good mix of range and melee will work wonders. Also there are A LOT of undead to choose from and a good number of them have cool abilities!
Don't just think of monsters to add tactics to combat also make good use of terrain. This s a smart guy (presumably) use ranged monsters on high ground with melee guys to stop the PCs in the "kill zone".
As I have learned recently use the DMs guide to increasing/decreasing the difficulty of...
You have Tome of Beasts. Look up the Darakhul pg 216, Imperial Ghouls pg 220 and Iron Ghouls pg 221 They are all part of the ghoul imperium with a neat write up on page 217. They might be exactly what you are looking for.
I'm horrible at converting things from xx to 5e.
If someone could assist me please I need the Bebilith from 3.5 converted to 5e for this weekends game. I know it's short notice and I'm sorry!
Also if possible could the one who does upgrade it to CR 17-18 ish please.
Thanks in advance.
You can most definitely disarm someone with body parts(martial arts).
It does help.
I think what gets me the most is that as a monk specifically the damage done by the strike. Your strikes start out at dagger damage and end up at two handed longsword damage. If i can inflict that kind of...
Ok before I get started I know that Unarmed strikes to not count as Melee weapons.
Now that that is settled why can I make a melee attack with something that is not a melee weapon ( Unarmed strikes) ?
Before you bring up tavern brawler that turns mundane items into improvised weapons which...
Something like this?
Oofta Family Sheild: This shield of the Oofta family is handed down from father to son. It has special properties that are unlocked through use.
Prof +1: This shield does D6+str damage and gains the thrown property with a range of 20/60
Prof +2: You gain the ability to don...
First thanks for the response. I was not thinking about two weapon fighting because I don't think you should be able to get the AC bonus if you do that. With an open off hand you could readjust your shield after attacking to give the AC bonus.
I'm working on a build that uses a shield in one hand and the other empty for grappling. Think Captain America.
My thought is through a lifetime of study/practice he has learned to use his shield as an offensive weapon and still use it for defense as well.
I'm not trying to get cheesy with it...
