I'll stay with 4E as my preferred fantasy RPG, though I'll definitely give the upcoming Iron Kingdoms RPG a try. Mechanically it looks to be very similar to Warmachine/Hordes, and I'd be surprised if it doesn't feature tactical combat.
I don't have a link handy, but it was stated in the past by WotC employees that the DDI group number represents current subscribers only, and then only those who also have a WotC forum account. Once your sub runs out you're no longer part of the DDI group.
Sure, I'll still play it. I don't need DDI to run or play the game; it's a nice help and all, but it's not essential.
I've got the good old CB backed up with my own homebrew mods for CBLoader, and I've got almost all of the books and Dragon/Dungeon articles.
My stuff from a similar thread:

In my group we also allow spending Action Points to re-roll attack rolls and skill checks.
You're not the only one. The April Fools TOC looked great.
Aside from 5e: because WotC fired Steve Winter. There was a similar decline before he took over. (And again I'm tempted to cancel my DDI sub.)
It's saddening to realize that their April Fools stuff looks way more interesting to me than what they've published since the first year of 4e. (Except for the Vegepygmy, that is. :p)
Greyhawk 2023? Awesome. <3
The Cathedral of Chaos Dungeon Tiles are available in Germany; I got 2 sets of them yesterday. The WotC product catalog shows a release date of 04.20.12, btw.
OTOH, the Haunted Temples Map Pack hasn't shown up here yet.
Did WotC mix up the release dates for these two products?
Congrats on your exquisite choice of shiny elven loot! :D
Well, there are many enchantments that can be transferred from one item to another with the Transfer Enchantment ritual (from AV). Just saying. ;)
