    arcane channeling +13th level DB + orb = 50 d6 +/-

    > That makes the ability almost worthless, IMO, just like Whirlwind Attack No no, having played a duskblade myself I can say that the point of that ability is that you can channel as part of a full attack. It's an annoying problem for a level 6 duskblade that you have to decide between...

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Dusklade using arcane channeling ==> spell failure?

    > Similar to how a touch spell is cast and then delivered > with a touch attack as part of the same action. you are 100% right. Thats a very good point, this convinces me. Thx a lot!

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Dusklade using arcane channeling ==> spell failure?

I am not sure on this one: If a duskblade who wears heavy armor uses arcane channeling, would arcane spell failure apply? My reasoning why not: What is "arcane channeling"? ==> It's a spell and a melee attack. Since you only have "one action" in a standard action one of those two must be a...

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5: Aura of resolve ==> immun to bless?

Thx for all the answers so far. What about that idea (from the core rules): Voluntarily Giving up a Saving Throw A creature can voluntarily forego a saving throw and willingly accept a spell’s result. Even a character with a special resistance to magic can suppress this quality. Could we...

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5: Aura of resolve ==> immun to bless?

Paladin of freedom (and others) have the aura of resolve class ability which makes him immun to compulsion effects. This makes him immun to compulsion spells like hold person or confusion. Would you agree that this *must* also apply to positive spells like bless, heroism and aid, meaning...

    Wizards spellbook

Is a wizard limited to 1 (own) spellbook only? Where does it say, or imply, that he can have more than one spellbook with own spells in it?

Cloak of resistance: HP and hardness

What would you say is the hardness of a cloak of resistance +2, and how much hitpoints would that item have? My guess: Hardness 2 / Hitpoints 5 I think the +2 does increase hitpoints, this only applies to armor/shields/weapons. So I just took 1 inch of leather.

Ring of Improved Invisibility [2002 Thread]

Just wanted to mention: Haste does not grant additional actions, like implied here from the post. There is no "haste action". Haste gives you 1 additional attack IF you are perfoming a full round attack, and some other goodies, but no additional actions

    Weapon crystals, add properties

Would you allow to add several properties to a weapon (or armor) crystal? For example "crystal of return" and "fiendslayer" together (cost: cheaper one + 50%, as usual). My "feeling" is that it shouldn't be allowed (because all the players will add "crystal of return" to their weapons), but I...

    Power word stun

Cool, I didn't expect dispel magic to work against the power word stun, but it actually makes sense. Would that dispel magic from a friendly caster also dispel other usefull buffs the character might have or can the caster target the stun effect specifically?

    Power word stun

If you've been stunned by a "power word stun", what can the other party members do to help you out of that state? Core rules & magic item compendium only. So far I've come up with the level 6 cleric spell "heal". Any other options?

    Mindarmor

In the magic item compendium there is an armor property "mindarmor" which grants 3 times a day (for 1 round) a + 5 to saving throws against mind affecting spells (as a immediate action). So if an enemy spellcaster casts a spell at my character, and the DM says "now make your saving throw (will...

    Spell resistance: Yes (object)

I don't get this: -- Dimensional Anchor Abjuration Level: Clr 4, Sor/Wiz 4 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level) Effect: Ray Duration: 1 min./level Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: Yes (object) -- What's the meaning of "Yes...

    Charge and Hover

    > In a subsequent round, it could cease hovering and charge This brings up my initial question: Can I charge and not cease hovering (since you are allowed to move while hovering), provided I start my turn hovering of course.

    Charge and Hover

We don't use the draconomicon. My interpretation for hover comes mainly from wizards document "all about movement part 4": ---- A creature with less than good maneuverability, such as a harpy, that gains the ability to hover from the Hover feat, must use a move action to switch from normal...
