This is very likely not on Paypal - a transaction for X amount was authorized for some amount of time (as would be their standard time included in their documentation, and would not be the same as a normal credit card transaction) and the timer ran out prior to the entire transaction amount...

I'd bet it's either that, or the person that did item setup wasn't informed on how they needed to do it to prevent this.

This is definitely something that one of the folx specializing in OM/fulfillment would/should have known. That said, stuff like this still makes it into production because it gets missed. I see it all the time. At this point, I would just like a statement acknowledging what happened...

The order I just made now says 'sent to warehouse.' I can only assume that means they'll be shipping my books today or tomorrow. I certainly wouldn't count on Buy continuing to ship orders though.

I just went ahead and added an order from Buy. If it shows up within a week, then I'll cancel my Amazon order. If not, I cancel the Buy order. I figure no harm done either way.

Typically, I allow my players to summon within one alignment step. I also entertain them coming up with 'personalized' summons for creatures that aren't in the list that are comparable to the ones there.

I use 32 for FR, and 28 for most other settings I've used. I generally don't like 25 point buy since it makes Paladins and Monks more difficult to make, but in some settings it's perfectly fine. I prefer 28 since it still forces players to make decisions and they charcters are still 'special'...
