marking monsters keep the fighter occupied or less effective, attacks that target other defenses are also good in my group we have a fighter with a 21 or 22 ac but things targeting his ref hit almost automatically also things that attack at range especially if its a non ac attack can really hurt...

so break down what a lich is. an undead arcanist. you could alternatively make him a revenant with a few tweaks for flavor it gives him the undead feel. unless he just wants to be a lich because of the power bump. if thats the case you have a different problem all together

i agree with most of what they have said so far. as to wotbs. i found some of the encounters needed to be adjusted either made harder or easier. specifically the the last encounter i found to a little to weak for the group of characters we had

well first is the location (a vault) essential to the encounter or could it take place on the other path? second (and i have had to do this before) could you just file away the encounter for later? it may need a bit of power increase but you could do that relatively quickly if you have adventure...

i read somewhere that for every copy of the players handbook 2 that was sold in stores 4 were pirated. but on the other side of that wizards ran out of copies of it within days. not that it makes ok to pirate it but if they would have printed more it may not of the case
