yep 10 PCs a campain, on avarage 1 PC every 2-3 sessions . then we just quit the campain, someone els runs a game then when thats done we go get 10 more killed. we havent brought a PC back to life in about 5yrs as we worked out its not worth the hastle. dont get me wrong the games are fun till...
What sort of a CR would you appoint to acid so ?, i think if used in certin ways it could be more deadlyer then its CR1-CR3 pathfinder would give it. personaly il stick to my 3.5 rules where CR5 would be the highst it could reach. that way it would be at least equil to drowning.
our rogue...
My apologies Dozen for being rude.
I just find it hard to see why drowning in water would have a higher CR then acid.
consider a trap ment to kill by drowning with water, now take out the water and put in acid. why would water have a higher CR?
On your point 4 there buddy, i was asking would you increase the CR.
I think your a bit blind to see where im coming from, so il leave you with one more bit from the rules on acid, read the end bit and we will leave it at that
Acid Corrosive acids deals 1d6 points of damage per round of...
you'd actualy rob your players of xp for being prepared! my god what a lousy DM youd make lol.
the drowing hazzard CR would be more then the CR of the acid damage.
You can drown in an egg cup of water. the fact is you still have the chance of drowning from a 1st lvl player with 12hp, to a 20th...
well if the guy was laying unconscious in the pool of acid he would be breathing it in, true? just as if someone had fallin into a pit trap, bein reduced to 0hp and then the pit filled with water to drown its victums. liqued was still used.
would you place a further +5CR on the trap if the...
the trap door to the pit was blocked off with a portcullas that could only be opened by twisting an iron statue with a str check of DC30. and that needed to be done 3 times..
it was a very nice trap indeed :)
If our rogue had of had a few potions he would of had a better chance. i still think the trap should of had the +5 for liquid as the drowning hazzard is still there...
When i say fair JRRNeiklot i refer to not putting CR12 traps in against 1 Lvl players that might be a bit extreme but ya...
the acid in the pit was doing around 13-18 points of damage a round.
dosent the area the pit covers drive up its CR and with the damage of the acid and the fall in one round and it being liquid not drive it up more?
im working it out at at least CR12.
CR7 for damage and +5 for liquid, would i be...
the rogue rolled a 1 on his reflex, trap was in an unlikly place.
the walls of the pit were smooth but with the help of a rope he started to climb out till the doors slam'd shut and cut the rope droping the rogue to the acid again.
in our game we came across a trap our DM made, we presume. it was 15ftx10ft wide had a 50ft drop the bottom was covered in acid up to knee hight and it had a reset time of 5rounds. our 7th lvl rouge died in it :( due to us not being able to reopen the trap on time as the rouge melted to death in...
the name is "who-robbed-me"
i am looking for something that makes magic items the cost and caster lvls and the like.
like if i want a wand of fireball, it will calculate the cost of the item if i put in the caster lvl of the spell.
or if i want a ring of melfs acid arrow 3times a day it will...
my group have a rod of maxamize spell. and war broke out cos one of the players could not except that the spells damage did not go to its max caster lvl 10d6( as he said thats what the feet says it dose) and only did max damage for his caster lvl.
