Aelspeth catches Qalabash's eye and inclines her head toward Tamarie.

"Let's make this quick. More sahuagin are sure to be near and I do not relish the thought of becoming surrounded." She begins to move toward the captain's cabin, but slowly enough for Leira and Qalabash to shield her.

Tamarie the Songweaver
Seeing Aaradon trying to deal with the nasty sting he was dealt, Tamarie walks over. "Let me help you," she begins, then voices a short song, tracing religious symbology in the air, leaving fiery images. Her hand aflame, she touches him and the fire washes over him as it did for her moments before. However, when the last flickers of light subside, nothing seems to have happened.

Looking somewhat distressed, the songweaver reaches into her bag for a book with a wand folded through it. "Doesn't quite work... for everyone," she mutters under her breath. Her frustration is interrupted by Qalabash's pondering about his healing wand--to which Tamarie nods back in acknowledgement.

[sblock=stuff]Cast Heavenly Fire on Aaradon, but he's neutral so nothing happens. Get healing wand/skill book combo from handy harversack. I ticked off one round since the end of combat on my Bless, I would not be surprised if it should be more, let me know, DT.

GE, I have your healing wand, apparently on the rationale of being the only one in the group that can use it. I was gonna divvy up healing on group members between the two wands and can report back the number of charges down at the end of game.[/sblock]

The party steps over the shattered door leading into the captain's cabin. The inside is a mess, with his personal effects tossed around and bed upended. The drawers to a dresser are also all removed and have been thrown to the ground. You do your best to walk around the room without stepping on picture frames, tossed clothing, and writing tools of little worth.

OOC: Combat is over, so you can move at your own pace. Also, for the person who has it, feel free to use as many CLW spells from the wand to get everyone injured back to max hit points. Just show the rolls so we know how many charges were used up.

Stunning Fist: You must declare that you are using this feat before you make your attack roll (thus, a failed attack roll ruins the attempt). Stunning Fist forces a foe damaged by your unarmed attack to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier), in addition to dealing damage normally. A defender who fails this saving throw is stunned for 1 round (until just before your next turn). A stunned character drops everything held, can’t take actions, loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, and takes a –2 penalty to AC. You may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (but see Special), and no more than once per round. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits cannot be stunned.

Dragon Style: While using this style, you gain a +2 bonus on saving throws against sleep effects, paralysis effects, and stunning effects. You ignore difficult terrain when you charge, run, or withdraw. You can also charge through squares that contain allies. Further, you can add 1-1/2 times your Strength bonus on the damage roll for your first unarmed strike on a given round.

Dragon Ferocity: While using Dragon Style, you gain a bonus on unarmed strike damage rolls equal to half your Strength bonus. When you score a critical hit or a successful Stunning Fist attempt against an opponent while using this style, that opponent is also shaken for a number of rounds equal to 1d4 + your Strength bonus.

She steps over a lantern, overturned and extinguished in whatever mayhem left the cabin in such a state, searching for blood spatters or other signs of the captain's fate.

"Hmm, no creeps or men here. For the time being, I think it best that we move on belowdecks." The faeborn woman pushes her glasses up her nose as she moves cautiously about, eyes scanning to floorboards.

"On the return, I may search for a manifest or captain's log. Such registers could be of value to our employer--perhaps even fetch extra coin once retrieved." Aelspeth stops near a desk and whispers, "Fakir." With a lazy swipe of her hand through the air, she summons a zephyr to push some papers across the floor. "If there are charts or navigation equipment here...That sort of specialized equipment may well buy Qalabash a chest of new toys."

After only a few minutes of casting about, Aelspeth looks up at those gathered about. "Are we in agreement that our immediate priority is to subdue hostiles and seek possible survivors?"

With the wand of healing marking the correct page, Tamarie opens up her copy of Wand Basics 101 and reads from it, moving the wand in the recommended way. The tip lights up, and with her free hand, she touches Aaradon lightly on the shoulder, she lets the surge of positive life energy flow through her and into him, knitting up his wound and restoring lost vitality fully. She nods and follows after Qalabash as he leads the group on.
