2) All books are Print on Demand from DM's Guild. Including Braille editions
Some odd ideas, but this is not possible in reality or hypothetical.

Reality, Roll20/DTRPG is not required by law to do what the owner of D&D says, "just because".

Hypothetically, Roll20/DTRPG does not even have the equipment to do this with.

I get what most of your ideas are going for, but some stretch things a bit out there like this one. I think the number of places that can make these books is very limited, so YOU as the D&D Pres, would just have to get a contract with a publisher that can make low run copies of the books like this. :) Still, you would not get anything from DMG, unless you buyout the author, doubley increasing your expenses making profit in 3 years harder to reach.

The only edition allowed there is 5e. You can not create things on DM Guild for any other edition as an indepedent seller, and you can only use about 3 settings. Realms, Ravenloft, and Eberron I think.

This would allow wouldbe authors to not only use all D&D IP in products sold exclusively on DMG, but open the editions to stem the flood of OSR copies of all the older editions.
I misunderstood your intent, you might want to clarify in your post. You can definitely buy all previous editions there from WOTC

Should I change OPEN to UNLOCK? I dont know what WotC and DMG calls it now when a new setting comes on DMG for use. :(
I have no knowledge about what settings they own trademarks and copyrights for. I assume that they don't have all of them. If they're separated from WotC, they probably can't do anything with MTG settings. I suspect extensive legal research would have to be done on a lot of them.

1 more thing for Ritchie Rich to worry about instead of me then.

D&D is in a decent place and should make money on it's own with the new release as long as it isn't botched up.

Of bigger concern would be MtG and a LOT of PR work in that arena to make sure it continues to grow even bigger than it is now.

PR work wouldn't hurt for D&D either.

Fortunately, given that Ritchie Rich in this scenario only bought D&D, the M:tG headache can safely be left for someone else to sort out. :)

Indeed.

Agreed on D&D. MTG is not a concern for the D&D company.

I'm mostly thinking about what can be done better with D&D. I think it is still pretty central to central to a certain style of fantasy role play. I think Wizards has unintentionally spawned a bunch of competitors. I think most of them will be small operations that will fizzle out, but one or two will get a big enough fanbase to survive. I'm mostly interested in what could be done to get the people who leave for greener pastures to come back to D&D if and when their new system fizzles out instead of falling out of the hobby entirely.
