Sigh. Because nobody got the joke (cow=ox + dunce=moron = oxymoron) the thread got capped.

I know it sucks to explain a joke, but subtlety and irony and word play do not always translate well on these boards.

Note that it is much of a loss that thread got capped--it is long past its shelf life, but the above public-service announcement still stands.

Apparently I'm in the minority. Much prefer an oatmeal raisin cookie over a chocolate chip. Then again, I almost only ever eat cookies when given them for free. I only buy cookies once a year, from Girl Scouts.

As one who has owned snakes, rats, mice, and ferrets that make me laugh. If all my pets would have gotten out at the same time, I would have had the ferret version of a turducken.

I don't include my dog at the time. She haughtily ignored all other animal, surprisingly showing no interest in them at all. Once, one of my snakes got out of its cage (milk snake, who was the best escape artist of any animal I've every kept). Looked all over for it, thinking it was gone. Finally found it coiled up for warmth under my sleeping dog.

In case you ever find yourself in a position of university administration, but if you've got a minor protest, a few dozen students on your hands, a really smart thing to do is to call in every police officer in a 60-mile radius with riot gear. If your goal is to massively escalate the protest to the tune of several hundred students and faculty that gets the entire campus shut down for most of the week. I mean, unless that wasn't what you would be planning, in which case I guess that's pretty freaking stupid.

Sugar cookies are good too, but I rarely want to eat more than one of them a day.

Thin mints are the opposite problem, too tempting to binge eat the whole lot - made worse by one of the generic knockoffs around here being an almost flawless imitation at less than half the price.
