What's tge situation like up in Auckland for these type of books?

Anywhere up there do cheap PoD?
You might have better luck finding players for non-D&D games but otherwise not much different.

I don’t do much PoD. When I do, I usually either just print it off at work or get my wife to do it at hers.

Figured as much. Even when I went to Auckland alot of prices were basically the same along with gaming variety. And of course finding players may as well be impossible.

I can generally get a D&D group to do Star Wars occasionally that's about it.

I used to love it when the nzd was better vs the usd and there was no gst on ordered books, was able to order books from Amazon and even with postage it worked out cheaper.

I originally looked at the bundle for dragonlance on the wotc suite and the cost of postage killed any desire to order through the.

Postage used to be around $8 usd and eBay books were $1-8 in some cases. Boxed sets were around $20-30. NZD was terrible as well (0.39 2001 iirc)

I bought a lot back then (2002-4).

Tome of beasts, Midgard Heroes and Midgard Worldbook were around $300 nzd to post over.

Yeah, we've normally required around twice the amount in nzd when converting to usd. I just had a look at the past trends, it was 2011-2015 that the conversion rate was really decent at over 80c per nzd, after that it was commonly over 70c until 2021 then it started to dip back down. I have had some rather expensive kickstarters due to postage.

2014 was last tine I got free postage. Think I bought donethingblije 9 novels or more, 5 or 6 rpg books things like that.

Bought Numenera then but never played it. Then got injured. Seen others pushing the new hotness over the years but they always die or whatever eg Vampire. Usually the University rpg club. No real point in buying those other rpgs is the main point.

Card games are easier. Played 5E other day they had 40-50 players of some ccg in store.

Loved Fallout 2 and the TV series, but the the world feels too Dystopian as it is, hence why so many Gen Z and Millenials keep wishing it was the 80s instead.

I think the 1980s would shock them tbh. Ymmv of course based on location and individual situation of course.

My school had physical discipline until 1986. Act up get the strap, older boys got the cane.

They wouldn't hurt you feelings they would hurt you 6 of the best.

GenZ nostalgiac for the 80s is like D&D nerds wishing they lived in medieval times. Lol.
