You (and the people you play with by extension) are very lucky. On the 4e discord channel there are currently multiple LFG threads begging and crying for any sort of DM.

See, that is fundamentally different than what i would like to achieve here. I would like to make it one game, with everyone playing just the one character so it feels more like one proper campaign. I appreciate the thoughts though !

What is an Invoker meant to hold in his off hand ? Then can't use shields and Dual Implement Spellcaster is Arcane only, while a weapon of some sort would be possible but not very useful seeing as how they don't actually make melee attacks ... I'll admit that the mental image of a scarred, grim...

Overwhelming Strike allows you to shift 1 and then slide your target 1 into the space you vacated ... What happens if you attack your target with a reach weapon from more than 1 square away ? Do you not move your target at all ? Move it closer but not TO the space you vacated ? Thanks in advance :)

That does seem clear an unequivical ... so what is the best off-hand weapon for a DIS caster with a Staff of Ruin man hand ?

Staff of Ruin IS classic, and mainhand for this character :) ... Neglected to mention that bit, it doesn't get the same double bonuses in the off hand...

For what it's worth - the character builder DOES allow it ... Supposing that it isn't an option, what's a good (the best ?) offensive offhand for a dual implement spellcaster ?

As I read it, a dual implement sorceror with a subtle dagger in his off hand would get the bonus damage whenever he had combat advantage since he is "doing damage with the weapon" ... or am I mistaken and there's a different consensus on this ?

But he wouldn't have been targetting the paladin, just the area, that he (the behir) and the paladin occupied. It was always my understanding that as long as the marked creature does it's level best to include the marking defender in it's attack, mark punishment shouldn't trigger ... or am I...
