    Wulf's Trailblazer project needs you!

Thanks PCat. Ya know - everyone's always jawing about 4E or Pathfinder, but the best looking girl at the party is that mysterious one over there in the back corner - Ms. Trailblazer. It's such a wonderful, creative book. Coolest thing since 1E's Unearthed Arcana. D

Man Spends 30 years on building this 20x12ft battle map!

Er, it's not exactly a battle mat, but it wouldn't it be fun to wage epic battle (of any edition!) on this puppy? (Man spends 30 years creating model of Herod's Temple) He could use some help on the miniatures side. I say we send EN World's own Pogre his way. D

    3E? 4E? PF? Trailblazer.

Doh! Can't believe I forgot some of those gems. We've adopted the iterative attack change quicker than you can say "iterative attack change." I'd like to see more work done on the Combat Reactions bit. I think it's a fantastic idea that needs expanded and explored. I believe Herreman, here...

    3E? 4E? PF? Trailblazer.

Hi all - So my Christmas gaming budget was pretty much non-existent, mainly because there wasn't too much on the market that I wanted to buy. My group has been enjoying a run through Robert E. Howard's Hyboria and we have all the books we need. Nonetheless, there's one product that recently...

[CONAN] Have you played Conan? Would like to hear your thoughts.

Gallo - Sure, I'll take a look. I don't know how to send a PM (yes, I'm a loser), but my email is smalls at yahoo dot com. Throw an "rj" in front of smalls. Thanks. D

[CONAN] Have you played Conan? Would like to hear your thoughts.

What was too much? The departure from "normal" 3e/3.5e/PF d20 is what we're striving to get, but yet - we want to stay within a system that's familiar to us. So it's a double edged sword of sorts - we want the d20 engine, we don't want to clunkiness that comes with it. (Understanding, of course...

[CONAN] Have you played Conan? Would like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks fellas. Did any of you happen to use the active defense option? That is - you had target's roll 1d20 + defense instead of a static dodge/parry defense.

[CONAN] Have you played Conan? Would like to hear your thoughts.

Hi all - My group switched from 3E to 4E and, while we love different aspects of both systems, neither really scratches the itch for us at the moment. We've looked at C&C, Pathfinder, Black Company, etc. - all of these were great in certain areas, and maybe not what we're looking for in others...

Why do you keep playing 4e?

I enjoy being a DM again.

How Many Beers per Gaming Session?

Seven players and two co-DMs. Four of the players don't really drink. The rest of us drink quite a bit, at least according to the metric from this thread. I like beer. Guess I'm in the minority. :) D

    Author variety in Dragon/Dungeon

Just to throw a fly in the ointment: I've been published in Dungeon during the Paizo Dynasty and the WotC Dynasty, and in both cases received responses - including rejection letters. Those responses weren't as prompt under the current regime, but that is to be expected with all the furor going...

Sins of Our Fathers II - New Art Uploaded - 1/25

Just as a follow on, I'm not trying to debate the merits and flaws of 4e and I'm well aware of the edition war ban. :) I'm just trying to show that it's received a mixed reception in our group, as perhaps as been the case in many groups. Ask me again in a couple months, and I'll (probably) have...

Sins of Our Fathers II - New Art Uploaded - 1/25

Hiya Celt - again, I remember you. Here's the lineup in my group with respect to 4e, just FYI, since many are folks on these boards. Hobbit Killer - Likes more than dislikes WP - Likes more than dislikes Frostrune - Likes more than dislikes Moril Karrisbane - Likes more than dislikes maladrac...

Have you played 4e through 5 or more levels yet?

Hi all - My group, which cut our teeth on 1E and played the heck out of 3E since it was released, is making the move to 4E. While there are some reservations, concerns, and uncertainties, we had all of those things when we left our comfortable land of 1E for 3E. So we're going to try to do...

Sins of Our Fathers II - New Art Uploaded - 1/25

I have indeed. We're doing our first 4e, marathon (Thurs-Sun) session in two weeks. We've run a couple 4e "playtests" online, but this is our first opportunity to see the rules in play around the table. I'm uncertain on some things and very much like others, so I guess we'll see how it goes...

Gary Gygax has passed. RIP beloved father of RPG's. (merged)

The debt I owe this man is matched only by the amount of joy he's given me. Horrible news. He will be missed. D

Murchad's Legacy is a hidden gem

There are more potential adventure hooks within ML than in all the other d20 books combined. The world and its cast of characters just pour from the pages. The only drawback is that, despite his claims to the contrary, Biggus is not sexy. He is, however, quite an accomplished writer. D

It's been a long, long time since I wandered around this area of the forums. Thanks to you folks who have stopped by, and please know I appreciate your kind words. @ Ed: I think it's absolutely awesome you're a published author and you had nice things to say about Sins. Writing a novel is a...

The Cask of Winter -4 July-

Elizabeth Boyer. That's it. Thanks! I remember loving those books, but I'm not sure if that's due to the fact I was a kid or whether those would still stand up today. Anyway, your tale is evocative of a great, real, unique setting. Just superb stuff. As for Mr. G.G. Kay - I've read him since...

The Cask of Winter -4 July-

Mr. FU - I wandered over here after first seeing (and admiring) your rogues gallery info. That thread actually inspired me to "guide" my own players toward a Norse/Viking type of setting within my current campaign world. Also loved the named weapons of your players - I'd like to encourage that...
