What were your favorite home base or stronghold building rules you ever encountered or used? Any system, any edition. The new UA rules made me curious of peoples' past experiences.

This. I'd much rather have a high quality one I pay for of course. And I do not want paper copies, that ship sailed a long time ago.

Sounds like some of the options I think are very important (more tactical combat) I'll probably waiting until the DMG to convert. Also, since we us FG for all our gaming, (in house or otherwise) I'll probably be waiting for aruleset to be finalised before adopting.

At this moment, no. Like almost everyone else on here I'm sure. RPGing time is at a premium so I'd much rather make the most of it.

I've been way out of the loop on D&D next. Just starting to take interest now that it has been announced for release. Will there be any electronic, say character builder, or Compendium tools for it from WotC?

I play in one 4e campaign. I'll stay in that as long as it keeps going.

House ruling I'm 100% fine with. Rule 0 and DM fiat I absolutely hate, and I DM most of the time.

I hope it's there, I love save or die. My hope is that every class can have in on the fun though.

You'll just get a d20 and a book of optional rules.
