Somebody IRL mentioned to me that it was Lakers media-day yesterday. I thought, holy shnickies its basketball season already! So I log-in to my dusty old enworld account for the first time since last Xmas, and alas, there's a shiny new '08 signup thread right on the first page!

Wow this will be 5th season for me (Longshots/Cubes/Jawz). I think we usually end up drafting partway through pre-season, after the first wave of injuries start appearing :heh:

Either draft method is fine with me.

I think Sigil just wanted to see more positive-oriented comments mixed in with the critiques last year. You should definately have joined, but the question at this point is also that we got the usual 12 teams already.

Ya 82 game limit at each position, dont spend them all too soon. :uhoh: Theres 2 utility slots so you basically get 164 games to split between them (same for the Center position).

My tabletop players just use em for scouting. A couple of times they may have used one to fetch a small item, and that's about it for creativity. When I play-by-post, I use my own PC's familiar for "comic relief". E.g. maybe the familiar is smarter than my character, or maybe the familiar...

Was funny for a while there every player was listed by full first name only. My team was "Todd", "Josh", "Stephen", "Reggie", "Rudi", etc.

Seems like it was summer only yesterday. I saw an Outback Steakhouse commerical today, holiday style, with a christmas tree full of lights. Here comes the endless parade of holiday ads and commercials! So, is anybody shopping for presents yet?

I put slices of peaches or bananas in blazing hot oatmeal, it warms the fruit up and makes it easier to eat. I like the flavor of fruit when it's heated, maybe because almost like eating pie.

This week should be the end of the Jawz winning streak. Going up against a strong team in the Governators. And with 6 of my starters out (4 bye weeks + 2 injuries), I will be relying on free agents and bench players. And only 1 WR. :eek:
