I always choose the toad. The Con bonus is great, and IMO greater than any other familiar bonus. The only familiar bonuses that come close to that of the toad's +2 Con is the rat's +2 Fortitude and the weasel's +2 Reflex. Discussing whether the rat or the weasel is a better choice than the toad...

Holy cow, I thought the barbarian and the fighter were even in 3.0! My first impression of the new changes is that the barbarian kicks the fighter's arse, unless Greater Weapon Specialization adds A LOT of damage. Aww, I really liked the fighter :(

I tend to agree with you, Haiiro, but I really want to keep the minotaur at +2 ECL. Would +2 ECL be balanced if I changed the minotaur as follows: - An additional -2 Dexterity for a total of -4 - Removed the Natural Cunning abilities - Reduced the Keen Senses bonuses to +1 What do you think?
