    Your Favorite OSR System?

I got the boxed set. I love it. Probably the sturdiest box ever made for an RPG. It's nice having everything broken into the individual small books. I think I will probably pick up the big book off the kickstarter if it's an add on. I would like to have a second copy of everything.

    Your Favorite OSR System?

I have the two advanced fantasy player books. They're really good. They add a ton of fun new classes. Can't wait to see the monster and treasure books.

    D&D 4E Am I crazy? I've just gotten a hankering to play 4e again...

Glad I'm not the only person left on earth that would love to play 4e again, lol. I love the system personally. Definitely my first choice given the option of any version of DnD. I had actually pulled all my stuff out right before Covid-19 shut us down, and was planning to try to put a group...

    Your Favorite OSR System?

There's a bunch of info out there on OSR. Just run a Google search and should be able to find a wiki. It's pretty much and system, or hack of a system that has an emphasis on hexploration, dungeon crawling, any style of game that would probably be considered old fashioned these days. Just off...

    Your Favorite OSR System?

I like old school essentials a lot. I haven't tried it yet, but an very interested in Five Torches Deep. Has anyone kicked the tires on that system?

Comic Books: What are you reading?

I read most of the usual super hero suspects, but there are a few stand outs among the more sci-fi/fantasy inclined stuff. Atomic Robo of course is great, so is mouse guard. Saga is very good. Unwritten is an amazing read, go get the trades! Also Hickman's East of West is a must read! I'm also...

    Has anyone tried Blade Raiders?

The game seems interesting, but i'd like to see if i can get some opinions from people that have actually played or at least read through the core rules.

    Boston Gameday: October 2nd!

Put me down for the Savage worlds game in the a.m. and in the p.m. i'd like to be an alternate for DC adventures, but i'm fine with 4e planescape if no spots open.

    Essentials Red Box Errata

It was pointed out to me that magic missel changes to one or two targets, auto hits, counts as ranged basic, but is missing the line that includes damage bonuses from magic impliments to damage. We're wondering if this is intentional. The Magic staff card still says that the modifier is to...

    Oh wow. Countdown to Essentials

I'd point out that anyone playing the sorcerer in season two of encounters has seen a non psionic augmentable power. Granted it's a dark sun theme power, but when you cast excise from sight it gives you the option to spend a minor action to augment it. That could very well be an example of the...

Albany Gameday XIII - April 3rd

What is the right game for me?

The generic cortex system? I've played serenity a few times, it's fun, fairly simple, doesn't require a mat or minis, and the characters are durable. There is no class/race system however. I could however see classes get simulated through skill and ability choices, and i think setting up race...

What are the best published 4e adventures for 1st level?

Raidiant vessel? Really? I think that is possibly the most horrible adventure i've played or DMed. I would urg you to go with the infinatly supperior Sense of wonder, or perhaps Heirloom, or even Black knight of Arabel, or possibly any other module on the RPGA list before vessel. The...
