D&D 5E Potions of Healing (and other common magical items)

Potions of Healing are available in the PHB and are listed as a "common" magic item in the DMG alongside 1st level scrolls. 1. does this imply that potions of healing should be widely made available for pcs to purchase? 2. If so; do potions of healing become the new CLW wand of this edition...

D&D 5E Thieves Tools: Disarm magic traps?

In 3.x/PF it's explicitly stated that you can use Disable Device to disarm magical traps. What about in 5e? I never really saw how little files, saws, and hooks were "disabling" a set of magical wards... but was wondering what 5e says on the matter?

D&D 5E Clerics -- no casting with shield and weapon?

Is it correct in 5e that with a shield and a weapon wielded; a cleric will not be able to cast spells with a somatic and/or material component (needing one free hand to do so)? If so; is it the game intention for clerics to be either combatants OR spellcasters, but not both simultaneously?

    D&D 5E Confused - Mark

So... referring to Mark on pg 271 of the DMG: - Is this an Action meaning you use it as a replacment for your normal attack action? - Can anyone/everyone do this? Fighters? Wizards? Monsters? - The Opportunity attack doesn't expend reaction... but limited to one opportunity attacker per turn...

    Trailblazer: AP question

For using an Action Point to recover a “limited resource” does this allow spellcasters to regain spells? i.e. A wizard is out of 3rd-level spell slots. But uses an Action Point recovers a third-level spell slot, and then casts another Fireball. Thanks!

Trailblazer: Monster catalog -> Use of Combat Reactions

I've been using Trailblazer from Bad Axe Games to modify some rules from my PF game I've been running. For any of the designers of TB or others who have extensive use with the modifications of the system, can you address this issue? Example: Greater Stone Golem (or any other high BAB monster)...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder: Item Creation and Wealth

Started about a few months ago getting into PF. I played 3.x from the day it came out at GenCon until around the Book of Nine Swords. Still lots of little changes we find ourselves getting tripped up on (boy o' boy I'd love a document link that says: these are the differences between 3.5 and...

D&D 4E The reason 4E doesn't work well except for "Dungeon Delves" or "Encounters"

I am currently running a "sandbox" style game, in a Kingmakerish vein using a region of my own device and some basic "realm" rules with the PCs as heroes and would-be leaders. Difference is that I am using 4e as a game engine. Well for starters, for all those people who say that 3e sucks...

    Healing and 10-minute recovery

I'm just curious since a paladin gets back all their LoH, a monk all their WoB, and certainly a druid/cleric gets back all their Cure X Wounds slots on a 10-minute rest.... #1 Is the assumption in Trailblazer that the PCs are at full HP at all times. #1a if Yes.. then is the other...

    D&dxp

Well the news and the promise to get a chance to give live feedback on actual early beta version of the game was enough to push me into deciding to go to D&D XP this year (that and Ft.Wayne is only 2 hours away). Anyone else deciding to go, now with the news of 5e?

    Paladin's other Mark powers

Does the paladin's other powers that "mark the target" particulary some of the higher level burst-style ones, just mark the target.. or does it count as a divine challenge mark?

Encounter and Daily powers in Skill Challenges

How do these type of powers (Encounter and/or Daily) work in a skill challenge? The skill challenge says that it some instances checks may represent hours or even days (particulary for something like a Lost in the Wild type challenge or a long-term negoitiation). The Warlock has a power that...
