    Generating Better Character Names

I browse the various forums and copy/paste names along with relevant character info (male/female, elf/dwarf/whatever, class). Then i randomly pick one that i like. The Obituary threads over in Paizo's AP forums are particularly helpful.

    SEAL character

Thanks guys. That's a good start. I looked at the dread commando. Good PrC for a SEAL-like character. And another game I am in, is written all over Dread Commando. Unfortunately, the Eberron rule set is out for this game.

    SEAL character

I'm working on a new character that is coming into the campaign at 5th level. The group (PCs) that this character is joining consists of a cleric of Tempus, two paladins of Torm, and a mageblade (yes, it is the forgotten realms, and yes the GM allowed one player to play a Monte Cook’s Arcana...

Post-game to collaboratively design a new monster: Morrusant

I once ran an adventure where the final encounter was with a "queen" giant wasp, she was immobile and simply lay there, attended by her elite wasp guards. I upped her Con sky high and lowered her Dex into the single digits. That gave her hit points in the 500s. Additionally this queen was a...

Post-game to collaboratively design a new monster: Morrusant

Treasure is a bit harder. A singular morrusant probably has no need for treasure, unless it is part of his equipment -- even the stupidest kobold knows that being harder to hit is good so wear that armor if you can. A nest might have a treasure/trophy chamber of "shinies and pretties."...

Post-game to collaboratively design a new monster: Morrusant

Only if you stick to the rules.... Anyhow, i don't think the Morrisant is the type of oddness (an aberration perhaps?) that this ability would be an add.

Post-game to collaboratively design a new monster: Morrusant

Magical beasts have Good Fortitude and Reflex saves. So with 3 HD, that would be Fort +3, Ref +3, and Will +1. Added to the stats and we have: Fort +3+1 = +4 Ref +3+3 = +6 Will +1-1 = +0 Easy to charm is suspect.

Best Love Songs (and "your" songs)

My all time favorite loves song is "I Love You" by the Climax Blue Band. My wife, now my ex-wife, spent a good two months searching for the single of that songs so the DJ could play it as our first dance at our wedding. Another favorite of mine is "Old Lang Syne" by Dan Folgelburg.

JollyDoc's Shackled City: FINAL POST [Updated 11/2!!]

I think this is my favorite quote ever. Was it actually said in play? I can not tell you how many times I have so wanted to really beat down a party of cocky adventurers and just smirk as I did so.

    Mesoamerican Campaign?

Interesting article. But pumpkin seeds aren't going to support a civilization. Another article I recently read suggested that dogs were used as a source of protein. And of course, there is fish. And it also turns out that the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incans were all sailors. The Inca regular did...

    Mesoamerican Campaign?

First off, do you think that this locale is possible given the 3.5e rule set? Obviously, I think so, but oftentimes my imagination and desire for coolness overlooks something very basic and it all comes crashing down on me, usually putting an extremely bad taste in my mouth. I want to avoid...
