Do You Know Your Glaive-Guisarme From Your Bohemian Earspoon?

I have a question, is the "spear" on the last pic supposed to be a Javelin? Else, where is the javelin? :)

    Candlelight problems

Hey folks, I ran i6 Ravenloft the other night for some friends and it looks like I will be running it again. Everything went great. Dark scary music, cold room, cobwebs, bubbling cauldron, and we even played by candlelight. It was great...mostly. I ran into an issue with the candles. Due to...

I'm actually putting D&D down for a night and running a Trail of Cthulhu one shot. Gonna be fun.

Getting maps from paper to computer

edit: Researching copyright info, it's a little stickier than I previously believed. On the phone thing, I'll give it a try.

Getting maps from paper to computer

Hey guys, I had a quick question on something I've never had to deal with before. For years I just ran games out of books, drawing vague maps on a chessex grid map. Then came PDFs and since then I have been displaying maps on a mounted TV in my game room. This method is very much preferred by...

Gamehackery: Looking Ahead (RPGs as a Service)

I actually talked about this a while back on the D&DN forums. I mentioned that Wizards would do well to introduce a service where players could get a base game for free, and then add on new features through small packages. Maybe 5 dollars for the Primal class packege, or $.99 for an individual...

Question about designing a generic adventure in Warcraft universe.

Hmmm...perhaps I could include sidebars featuring different hooks for the different sides. But, that still leaves the problem of the information gathering/town cruising/roleplay part of the adventure.

Question about designing a generic adventure in Warcraft universe.

I have run 2 successful campaigns in Azeroth, one in 3.5 and one in 4e, so I got a decent grasp on separating the game from the MMO. It was a little difficult at first, and a couple of people had to leave the table more than once because of /whisper and LFG jokes, but eventually everyone got...

Question about designing a generic adventure in Warcraft universe.

So I'm going about designing an adventure for the Warcraft universe, but I've run into an interesting snag I didn't expect. As most of you know, a big part of the Warcraft setting is racial tensions and animosity. Hence, even before World of Warcraft, races generally chose sides. Even the...

Good program to keep track of your campaign?

I'm currently trying out evernote, and it seems good but the usage limit worries me. As well it seems to have issues with crashing on iOS. As for masterplan, it looks amazing but with one key fatal error I forgot to mention, I'm on a mac XD. But I will definitely suggest this to my friends...

Good program to keep track of your campaign?

First time poster on ENworld, but I could not think of a better place to put this. Throughout my campaigns I have tried keeping tabs on npcs, items, etc. in many different ways. At first I used notecards, then text files, and even tried a website. Right now I am looking for a way to make a...
