Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Magic Items of Eberron

This would be a fair point if Eberron wasn't the first UA back in like 2014. Artificer is well overdue for the amount of jerking around they've done with Eberron.

D&D 5E Is my DM being fair?

I think your DM doesn't understand surprise. Surprise only relates to you as far as the game is concerned, there are no hunches on anything else but things trying to hurt you. It's like spider sense, it only relates to when Spiderman is in danger, it doesn't go off when Aunt May is dropped from...

D&D 5E Do you use the flanking rule?

Yes we do. But we really shouldn't. My GWM was going to be powerful as is, but with flanking added I can kill a giant in SKT in two rounds. It is way too powerful for the GMW build.

D&D 5E Is it houseruling to let a torch set fire to things?

You understand that you are basically asking is fire hot and can it burn things. Yes, oddly enough it is and yes it truly can.

I enjoy adventure paths, they allow for DM's that don't have all the time in the world to run something. The only issues I have is that all of the adventure paths are rehashes of adventures they have already done. Tyranny of Dragons, that was done with Scales of War, same big bad. Princes of the...

Perkins' Map Sketch For CURSE OF STRAHD's Burgomaster's Mansion

I like that they want to rework Ravenloft and all. But the real question is when are we going to get an adventure path that isn't based on another adventure from a by gone era?

D&D 5E Why Has D&D, and 5e in Particular, Gone Down the Road of Ubiquitous Magic?

I think the hundreds of thousands of playtester's would disagree with you.

D&D 5E Boy, that escalated quickly...

Having a keep of monsters swarm the PC's make for long and possibly boring fights. On the flip side though they can all die, and not feel heroic because they were murdered by goblins, or had to run screaming into the night. Pulling a room or two into it is fine, if it feels like the fight is...

D&D 5E Why Has D&D, and 5e in Particular, Gone Down the Road of Ubiquitous Magic?

It's hard to be all cool and magical, when after the first encounter, you kinda just shoot a crossbow. It takes away the whole cool and magical thing really quick. There really isn't much more to say.
