I find I have meaningful choices. Mostly through multiclassing which means there's options to consider at every level, but also Feat/ASI selection, Spell selection, etc...

Another option to consider is the Eldritch Knight fighter subclass. Although from memory you have to pick half your spells from invocation/Evocation and you’re a 1/3rd spellcaster, so probably not what you’ve looking for but still thought it worth a mention.

I do sometimes wonder why there are so few younger players joining the discussions on these boards given the influx of new people coming into the hobby over the past decade.
