Abjuration 23 Conjuration 18 Divination 22 Enchantment 16 Illusion 22 Necromancy 8 Transmutation 14 How is Illusion higher than Abjuration? Abjuration is clearly the better school...

D&D 5E Need to roll a new character, looking for suggestions.

Multi classing EK and Assassin should be very viable, however I don't know enough about EK to say. A really fun and effective Assassin class is Halfling. The bonuses are just what you need and being small is also amazing. For Sorcerer, Half-elf and Tiefling are great classes, and Tieflings...

D&D 5E Need to roll a new character, looking for suggestions.

Well, I have two recommendations for you. Since you said the Spell Book is too much of a disadvantage, why not try the Wizard's rival, the Sorcerer? And since you're looking for something FUN, what about the Wild Sorcerer? They can deal good damage, are able to keep moving by using Sorcery...

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

Haha, yes I know the advantage won't be easy. However, the spell casters have all agreed to help me get SA as often as possible, and the Bard has pretty much devoted himself to it. Half of the party also have familiars and the DM has decided to let me train my mastiff to be more useful in...

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

Barbarian seems interesting, but I don't think it would help me as much as Fighter would. With Mobile, I plan on hitting an enemy, hiding behind another party member, repeat. HOPEFULLY I won't get hit enough to need to rage. And by damage reduction ability do you mean the Maneuver? Because if so...

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

That's very true, but I feel like going so deep into Fighter takes away from the Assassin aspect of my character, since that is what he is primarily and I think only level dipping into Fighter. So while Fighter 5 is probably the more optimal build, I don't think it suits my character so well...

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

So it's equal? Well that's not good for me xD And I'm not sure I want to miss out on Death Strike and another Sneak Attack die by going Fighter 5...

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

I'd begin the multiclass at level 3, so my 4th level would be a Fighter one. I'm just not sure for how long.

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

iirc Death Strike requires the target to be surprised anyway which would auto crit due to Assassinate. Well it'd be 2 attacks per round, since Mobile would allow me to walk away without using my bonus action. I've never actually thought about Sentinel but it does seem like it would work quite...

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

Urgh, I just wish I could have both lol I also don't think I want to lose more than 3 levels of Rogue since I'd miss out on Death Strike which I want. I'd be beginning the level dip at Rogue 3, so my next level would be Fighter but I'm just not sure for how long. Edit: Oops, ignore this...

D&D 5E Rogue level dipping into Fighter help

So I have a Rogue Assassin looking to level dip into Fighter Battlemaster but I am not sure if I should go 1 or 3 levels into Fighter. My Assassin is basically a wannabe Swashbuckler (with feats like Mobile) while still being a traditional Assassin. Fighter 1 would give me the 10d6 sneak attack...
