D&D General OAR 7: Dark Tower

Interestingly enough, OAR 9: Caverns of Thracia has a listing on Amazon including cover art and a release date. I imagine none of this is official but it's noteworthy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1961756471/?coliid=I39AG3820RTN5G&colid=1710ALMIT753V&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it

D&D General D&D Book Prices Are Going Up

So, is the book just $10 more (And then $20 more for the digital-physical bundle) ? That's fair considering inflation. The article only talks about the digital-physical bundles which is why I ask.

    Dragonlance Dragonlance Deluxe Question

Ok, that explains everything. Guess I'll be double dipping for the Soth cover. Thanks!!

    Dragonlance Dragonlance Deluxe Question

Hello everyone! I've been searching for an answer everywhere to this question and can't seem to find it. The Deluxe Dragonlance set with Warriors of Krynn comes with the new Dragonlance book with an exclusive cover. However, I can't find anywhere that explains what this cover is outside of it...

D&D 5E Rise of Tiamat hardcover goes for big money

Thanks for checking for me! At least I know these books are appreciating in value.

D&D 5E Rise of Tiamat hardcover goes for big money

You think that's bad? The only alt cover book I don't own is Volo's Guide to Monsters, and it's, at minimum, 350 bucks on eBay. I've seen copies as high as 900 bucks on there. It's wild. It's crazy that Rise of Tiamat's regular edition is that expensive, though. I'm regetting gifting it to a...

    D&D 5E dnd alternate covers

I have 'em all except Volo's, but I use them at the table. They're visually appealing, and since I only own one copy of each book (If I buy the alt cover, I don't buy the regular one), it's only practical to use 'em at the table.

Spelljammer Beadle & Grimms’ Spelljammer Platinum Edition

I'm not against the crux of your argument (You should buy it because you want it), but ignoring the value of it as a collector's item because you don't like the idea of "beanie-babification" is short-sighted, especially since non-collector's items much older than them (Like Star Wars figures or...

Spelljammer Beadle & Grimms’ Spelljammer Platinum Edition

Considering they're collector's items, and generally appreciate in value, if anyone regrets their purchase, they'll be able to turn around and sell it for a profit. Seems like a win-win to me.

    D&D 5E Further Future D&D Product Speculation

Unless they want the Alt Covers, as Target and Amazon don't sell those. There is the possibility of getting the best of both worlds though; my FLGS is Cool Stuff Inc., which sells D&D books, including the Alt covers, at Amazon-like prices. For example, Spelljammer is $48.99 on their website...

Spelljammer Beadle & Grimm’s Spelljammer: Adventures in Space Platinum Edition.

I'm assuming it'll be a Silver, Gold or Legendary edition rather than a Platinum. They usually only do one Platinum a year.

Spelljammer Beadle & Grimms’ Spelljammer Platinum Edition

Generally, collector's items are more inflation-proof than recession-proof (So, right now is a good time to get them). They don't necessarily drop in value during a recession, but they're harder to sell if you need the cash. If you can weather the storm, though, they're worth the investment in...

Spelljammer Beadle & Grimms’ Spelljammer Platinum Edition

Each Platinum is 1000 units. This will be the fifth, and three of them (Dragon Heist, Descent into Avernus and Rime of the Frostmaiden) have sold out. Wild Beyond the Witchlight is the fourth and, as of now, hasn't sold out yet. I'm still kicking myself for not getting Avernus and Frostmaiden...

What's the most expensive RPG product you've bought?

Beadle & Grimm's Waterdeep: Dragon Heist Platinum Edition. Over $500. Cool stuff, but not nearly worth the price. I'm very unlikely to buy anything near that price again.

D&D General On gatekeeping and the 'live-streaming edition wars'

The gatekeeping is ridiculous. On one hand, was I a little disappointed at the Wildemount announcement? Sure, I've been playing long enough now that I'm feeling like a crusty old grognard, and I want my 5e Planescape, dammit! But, that's not the Critters' fault, and it's certainly not Mercer's...

D&D 5E WotC Delays New D&D Book Announcement

Yup, I saw that. Matt's a gem, and it was very reassuring, especially since he mentioned the top two "old" settings that I'm interested (Planescape and Dark Sun) as something he's both interested in and has lobbied for directly with Wizards. We'll see what the future holds, but if he's right...

Critical Role The New D&D Book Is 'The Explorer's Guide to [Critical Role's] Wildemount!' By Matt Mercer

I honestly think there's a difference between the Stranger Things and Rick & Morty products compared to Wildemount and AI. The former two are straight-up crossovers that are only tangentially related to D&D. However, the latter two, while "tie-ins" to other brands, are directly linked to D&D...

Critical Role Matt Mercer Speaks About The Wildemount Book

The 5e Campaign Setting Wars. 5e united fans, new and old, only to put them at each other's throats over the setting release schedule! :ROFLMAO: But seriously, if what Matt says is true and Wizards has plans for older settings in addition to "newer" settings like Ravnica and Wildemount, then...

D&D 5E WotC Delays New D&D Book Announcement

Ya'll are right, of course, but, from the old guard D&D social media bubble, both of these releases blindsided everyone. Granted, I think they're interesting enough (Ravnica more than Wildemount, but still), but I'm concerned that these types of releases will crowd out older settings being...
