When you are inside the belly of the beast, you still have to make successful grapple checks to deal damage with your light piercing and/or slashing weapon right?

If a creature has enough damage reduction to completely negate damage roll from a rogue, does that said rogue gain sneak attack damage as well? Gut feeling and insight tells me no, but what do you guys think?

grapplers seem decent at low levels to mid levels but once he/she faces big bad beasts with monsterous grapple checks and/or creature with access to freedom of movement, his career looks grim at best. how can a 20th level fighter who focuses on grappling survive in such a world?!? :confused:
