Well hopefully, someone somewhere will make some kind of public statement soon and we can all stop speculating. I've gotta get back to work :(

Gygax Magazine? [UPDATE 3 - Electric Boogaloo]

I've had myself and several of my followers tweet him, zero response so far. Honestly thought, the Gygax foundation is pretty public and enthusiastic about all of its ongoign projects and plans. To me this seems like a guy who's trying to capitalize on the name, and taking the opportunity of...

    Fourthcore has Died

Nah, I avoid most forums at all costs but I just figured since EN world is "the" forum of tabletop RPG's and it's been around for a really long time there would be increased chance of trolling, sorry. It's definitely enlightening actually surfing and lurking around here the past day or so though...

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks to all of you for your mostly kind words and support. I honestly didn't expect that from the EN world crowd so it was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon this. Fourthcore will live on, through dedicated community members and designers like myself. Stay tuned :)

    D&D 4E 4e D&D Plays Like a Video Game, and That's Awesome

Well yeah, the new Neverwinter title is going to be the first video game to use 4e. But the developers don't know their ass from a hole in the ground so it will probably end up being an embarassment. I wrote a little something about it not too long ago Cryptic’s “Neverwinter”, looking bleak?

    Greetings fellow gamers

Hey thanks for actually responding! To answer your question yes I do, because of the simplicity mainly, it's allowed me to get more people into RPG's because it's a bit less intimidating to start with I think. RPG's can be intimidating enough as is to some people before you even get into making...

4e: big change in essentials: no more daily powers!

In 4e the mechanic is built into the attack roll. FORT/REF/WILL are static defense values now, it's essentially the same but just makes for less die rolling. For example, something that would have been "Reflex Save for X" is now included in the attack roll like (before todays changes) Magic...

4e: big change in essentials: no more daily powers!

This is true yes, but I still really like something about flipping throug the pages of a book whether it's physical or not. Odd I know.

4e: big change in essentials: no more daily powers!

As with any game, updates can come as liberally as they want as long as they are in efforts to further balance, improve, and make the game more interesting. I wholly support these updates in a theoretical sense. However, unlike the video game world where an update is a mere patch file away, this...
