I agree with the OP but am just not as upset about it. I'm not a tiefling or dragonborn fan but I don't mind a couple pages that I can just ignore. Also, other books will surely have the options everyone wants at some point.

It's really not that concerning to me. It's fantasy and I'm not terribly concerned about purely accurate anatomy for my monsters.

I've seen all the old editions under the big sign that says "games," while the PHB hangs out in some weird place called "Best Sellers." I like the fact that this is true, but I agree with the OP that there should be a tad but more organization.

I tend to play a lot of "savage" characters and I always play a magic using type over the more martial bent characters, so I certainly hope it is done "right," whatever that means.
