(Adventure) The Island of Varras'zul (Manzanita Judging) (Concluded)

Nezrak engaged the water creature in combat, slashing to and fro with his elven longsword. The grey elf struck true, lopping off one of the creature's arms with a well-timed blow (6 damage).

Mona was torn between healing the Scun and healing Rillian. But knowing that the cleric of Mongrel could also cure the ails of others made him a higher priority than the human, especially in the dire situation.

She spoke again in the tongue of the heavens, a supplication to the divine for aid and healing. A touch from her glowing fingertips revived the unconscious half-orc (fully healed). Positive energy washed through Scun's body, mending welts, bruises and deeper hurts. It left naught but an odd tingle upon the skin.

Mona then turned around and with a great deal of effort, lifted the unconscious Rillian's head and torso above the water's surface (move action). She continued to hold up the human, both of them now vulnerable to attack.

Ogrin attacks the creature and draws his dagger.

OOC: I don't know how much I'll be able to participate this week. I have some personal issues that needs my full attention. Nimisgod, feel free to NPC me into action. I'll let you know when I'm back as usual.

ooc: Understood. Thanks for the warning. Ogrin will be NPC'd in your absence.

Ogrin struck true once more. His rapier penetrated the watery hide and struck at the creature's translucent insides (3 damage).

As horrible as its wounds were, the creature did not seem to falter. Were it a creature of flesh and blood, it would've given up to unconsciousness long ago. But it refused to falter.

Ogrin unsheathed a dagger with his left hand after he had dealt his blow, aiming to put even more steel into the water creature when he again got his chance.

Rillian:
Rasereit's turn

After successfully eviscerating the water monster, Rasereit spins around to view the battle behind him. Noticing three of his friends on the wet ground, he races towards the remaining opponent with no regard for his own safety, swing his war axe about.

OOC: Far as I know, that's a move action, standard attack, and the monster gets an AoO on Razh.

ooc: It is indeed a move action and a standard action. But there are no AoOs in what Rasereit did. You do not provoke AoOs for entering threatened squares, only for leaving them.

I am assuming that Rasereit is standing over Rillian's space.

The dwarf tried his ax on the second and last of the water creatures, but was not able to connect.

Scun's turn

Scun stands up and steps 5' to heal Rillian. (spontaneously changing shield of faith into a cure light wounds)

Healing energy flowed from the recently revived Scun into Rillian (healing=8HP, currently at 4 HP).

Earstwhile, the creature continued on its rampage sans one arm. It made a lethal swipe at Ogrin but the wily halfling easily ducked under the blow.

ooc: Retconning= Rasereit occupies the space beside Rillian instead othe space he was on.

Nezrak's turn

Nezrak will move to attack the creature again with his sword. "These things are really tough!"

Nezrak swung his blade but missed horribly.

Mona stayed at the back of the party. She watched the members of the party carefully, in case there were any more who were felled by the creature.

But her vigilance was unnecessary. Ogrin attacked with rapier and dagger, striking with both in quick succession. The creature's form melted into the water as it screamed a gurgling death knell.

ooc: everyone recieves 200 XP

"Is everyone alright?" Mona asked.

Rillian stands up out of the water. "I'm fine, thanks to each of you." he makes a small bow to Mona and to Scun. While collecting his sword and javelin Rillian says "So are we ready to continue?"
