Rillian dropped the armor and strode past the swarm and toward the water-soaked stairs.

The swarm turned around and chased after him, chittering at his heels.

Rasereit finally ascended the stairs to take a breather beside Scun. The bites of the vermin threatened to damage his muscles, but dwarven fortitude allowed no such thing.

Scun mended the worst of Razh's wounds with the power of divine magic.

Ogrin and Mona stood in the rain with Nezrak.

Without the armor burdening him, Rillian made it to the stairs and quickly began his ascent.

The swarm tried to catch him but they were not quick enough to overtake the swift-striding Rillian

Scun makes sure his friends are up and moving and urges them further up the stairs to meet with the others.

Razh looks as though he could kiss Scun. "Thank ye, mate. Mongrel's a good one, he is!" Some of his weariness gone, he starts to run up through the levels, but quickly realizes that he isn't that much better. Again winded, he pants as he trots along as fast is his tired legs will carry him, praising Mongrel and his dwarven ancestors all the way.

Still fatigued from the rage, so he can't run, but he will do a double move out of there.

oog: It's daytime outside, though with the precipitation, it's hard to tell exactly what time in the day.

oog2: looking down the steps, Rillian isn't sure if the swarm is gone or if it is waiting in hiding...

The party gathered in the rain together at the top of the stairs.

Mona patched up Ogrin's wounds, applying healing techniques to treat further damage from the poison.

Razh felt the venom's effects recede, even as he made his way to the surface.

Scun casts Longstrider and leaves his gear up top. "I can go back for the armor. Where did you drop it? Gonna need to go back down at some point anyways to find what we came for."

"Actually, I think we have. The vermin went crazy when I snagged this from the pillar, " Ogrin indicates the book Mona carries, "and I suspect it might be what we're looking for. I guess Nezrak and Mona could confirm it."

"Whoever goes down there after the armour should be fast, to be able to avoid the swarm."
