Heroes Must Rise! [Erekose13 Judging](Concluded)

Planus sees his friends continuing their falling or flying toward these strangers and decides to go along for the ride.

OOC: I'm not sure why Planus is falling away. I thought they were all moving towards the Gith and then he and Iggy were trying to stop. He failed his check so I would expect him to continue plummeting toward the Gith. He will continue falling until he reaches 400 feet and then start trying to stop again.

Misread it as a DC 15 check, you're right it's DC 16 so planus fails. I'll correct it in a moment. The reason he would have had down the opposite way is that in order to slow down and eventually stop you need to assign "down" to the opposite direction.

Speed goes from 0 to 150 to 300 then stays there till you reverse, then drops to 150 then 0 and then (if you don't switch to neutral) 150 and 300 the other way.

Opale continue to fall without being able to control her fall. She ready her Glitterdust spell. If the Gith come within 100 feet and she can touch at least two, she will cast it.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Wisdom check: 5[/SBLOCK]

Planus calls out, "Mongrel, help me out with this one!" Cast divine favor.

OOC: Ah, got it. Overall movement plan for Planus. Continue toward Gith at 300 feet per round until 300 feet away. Then slow down and stop and switch to neutral. If everything goes as planned, end up 150 feet away. Too bad it's not subjective inertia as well.

Spells prepared (most of the time):
0 (DC 13) 5/day: Detect Magic(x2), Light(x2), Guidance
1 (DC 14) 4/day: Bless, Divine Favor, Protection from Evil (x2)
2 (DC 15) 3/day: Resist Energy, Silence, Spiritual Weapon
3 (DC 16) 2/day: Blindness, Prayer
Domain:
1 (DC 14): Longstrider
2 (DC 15): Invisibility
3 (DC 16): Fly

Round 1
Charlarn tries to slow down, but fails to convince the Astral plane of gravity's new direction.

Iggy full defends. (ooc: Additional time doesn't effect your chances, except for the bonus on succesive rounds. However, I will let you intentionally fail a check in order to gain the bonus with advanced planning. I was hoping Manual of the Planes would have more information, but when I finally got my copy in hand last night I found that the rules for subjective gravity apparently changed significantly in 3.5.)

One of the crossbowmen begins falling up and slightly away from you, on the defensive.Wisdom Check (Native Modified) Githyanki X-R (1d20+3=17)

Opale continues to drop, readying an action to cast Glitterdust if she can catch two or more Githyanki in the area of effect.

The other crossbowman remains still, full defending. Wisdom Check (Native Modified) Githyanki X-S (1d20+3=10)

One of the Githyanki longbowmen fails to move. Wisdom Check (Native Modified) Githyanki B-G (1d20+2=15) He fires an arrow at Charlarn, casting a spell even as he knotches arrow to bow. Bow Attack with Quickened True Strike v Charlarn (1d20+6+20=28, 1d8+1=7) The Cleric is hit for 7 damage even at the extreme range (-10 for >5 range increments not included in above roll.)

Another bowman (also failing to move) full defends. Githyanki B-F Wisdom Check, Native Adjusted (1d20+2=10)

Planus casts a quickened Divine Favor and prepares to come to a stop when the Githyanki are close enough. (Readies an action, intentionally fails the roll for this round.)

One of the Githyanki Bowmen begins to fall up at an angle away from you, on the defensive. Githyanki B-L Wisdom Check, Native Modified (1d20+2=17) The angle he has chosen will place him on the side of you opposite from the crossbowman who is also in motion.

Ducane full defends.

Zack succesfully adjusts his course in an effort to bring a Githyanki into melee range. (Pick one. If it is one that is in motion, make an intelligence check to calculate the intercept on the fly.)

OoC: Going for X-S since the less rolls I need to make, the less chance for failure. :D
I might not be able to access the net for this week, so if action continues, Zack attempts to kill one gith, take its ranged weapon, and proceed to (attempt to) nail down remaining opponents.

Iggy tries to slow himself, and puts a bolt to his crossbow.

OOC: Wisdom check: 1d20+5 (including +6 bonus for failing last round) =4+5=9. oh well. I guess that means he approaches another 300' to be 300' of their original location.

Round 2
Charlarn continues to fall towards the Githyanki, and is now 300' away from the ones who haven't moved yet, just more than 150' away from the other two.Charlarn Astral Maneuvering (1d20+9=10)

Iggy continues to full defend, reloading his crossbow as he does so. (Assuming it's a light crossbow. He falls right alongside Charlarn.

The moving crossbowman falls up, now only 40' away from Iggy. He takes a shot, which hits with deadly accuracy. X-R's attack (1d20+6=26, 1d8+1=4) Crit confirm and extra damage (1d20+6=13, 1d8+1=8) It smashes into Iggy's shoulder, and deals 4 damage. If it had hit slightly to the right, it could have been much worse.

[Opale is up next. SHe can easilly target the Githyanki who just shot Iggy, but there isn't another one close to him.]

Opale doesn't want to waste a good spell on only one gith, she continue to ready her Glitterdust for at least two of them and tries to stop her movement.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Only 12, but I didn't add any bonus for failing last round... as I am not sure it apply to me. I think it is teh first time I do a combat in astral plane in my whole gaming experience... and I played Planescape

Edit: Argh! I just thought, I have 1 gm credit... I could have leveled Opale before that combat and I would have had my 3rd level spells... oh well, if she survive that combat, she will level.[/SBLOCK]
