Tavern - City of Orussus, The Red Dragon Inn '08

"Oh, I'm sure you would; I say most of them out loud as soon as I think them. Sometimes even before that." Keldar takes a look at the rapidly diminishing pie. "So, you're saying I'm a disreputable magician, then?"

"Besides, I'm not sure I'd survive the experience of knowing your thoughts."
Tankard bursts out laughing. After a few looks in his direction, he says, "Sorry, I must not be drunk enough yet." Tankard returns to the bar for another beverage.

Galwynn sighs at the sight of his pie upon the floor. "Even the simple pleasures are denied..."

He looks reproachfully to the ceiling, blaming all his misfortunes upon whatever supernatural being looks down from the rafters. He is so lost in directing his enmities upon the heavens (and, from the looks of it, the "heavens" need a good scrub) that he doesn't hear Keldar's "bodyguard" suggestion - probably for the better.

Instead, Galwynn merely looks down, stares at the pie wistfully, and says softly, "Maybe we should hit the road? I don't think I can survive another day in this inn... 'with friends like these...'"

He has been drawing frantically on the table for a little while now and his chalk is but a little stub. "Bah this chalk is so weak, weak and powerless, weak like a fly, a fly to be swatted. BAH! *he throws the chalks too the side* What are we going to do Hastur? Its been so long since we've had a peaceful rest! What was it that happened back there, why can't I remember?

"We can't have that, Galwynn. Fimble? Are you with us?" Keldar hops up. "To the guildhouse, via Tarag's. I suppose. Pack those papers and the shovel away out of sight, someone." Keldar heads for the door. "Cheer up, Van Hayder. It might never happen," he says.

Galwynn grabs the shovel and follows Keldar to the door, making a quizzical look at Azaroth as he heads out. "And I thought the thief was strange..." he whispers under his breath.

"And yet you still follow him," Rapture says as she accompanies the others out the door.

"I'm just going to find an empty room upstairs and prepare that spell, then I'll join you," Tommy says. "Try not to get in any trouble."

Tommy will go find a quiet room and spend 15 minutes preparing detect thoughts.

"Right behind you." Fimble snaps, and Rikitiki leaves the mess on the floor to leap onto his shoulders (which aren't that high off the ground). The gnome glances at the fallen pie and shrugs helplessly at the barmaids as he follows Keldar out.
