I am working are a complete revamp of giant ants... for one they are too large 6' ? thats insane... what would it weigh? they can lift and carry 50 times there own weight.
...an ant can carry fifty times its own weight, and a bee.s ability for hauling is equivalent to a grown man lugging around a 30-ton truck. Impressive enough. Now consider the implications in a fantasy game.
Given the carrying power of ants, one of the AD&D games. two-footers ought to be able to physically drag away a human, even one in armor. [Your editors estimate that a 2’-long ant would weigh about 15
lbs.] If ants try to block the characters. entry into their nest by building a barricade, they will finish the job far sooner than anyone would expect. If even one ant gets past your front battle line (an easy thing in a poorly lighted dungeon setting), it could disrupt the party.s defensive formation by yanking characters off their feet

I didn’t agree completely I thought his ants were a bit heavy… I dropped workers down to 4 lbs and 2’ long solders to 2.5’ long and 5 lbs and the queen though much larger, cant move and hasnt since she became queen, so the strength would be nil.
