This enormous reptilian humanoid is covered in deep greenish brown scales that seem to blend into the background. Its scaly head has a ridged crest running down to its back, and it has three equally spaced eyes set it its savage visage. Its four large arms end in menacing claws.

Yash'Mortis is a Scion of Suldek, the god of Murder. Yash'Mortis considers himself the ultimate assassin, and is both passionate and dispassionate at the same time; the act of killing, in and of itself, is meaningless to him, but he takes his work very seriously and relishes in his murderous tendencies. He will freely kill anyone that Suldek asks him to, though he happily takes a commission from any god that wants someone dead - with an appropriate price to match the challenge.

Yash'Mortis has earned the title "He Who Brings Death with Poison Bile" among those he has left alive.

Yash'Mortis is (20-ish?) feet tall and weighs (X) pounds.

When Yash'Mortis wishes to intimidate a group of individuals, he will stealthily slay one target, disemboweling the prey quickly before he is noticed. He hangs the victim from his own entrails, writing a warning to the survivors in blood.

Yash'Mortis's natural weapons, as well as any weapons he wields, are treated as chaotic-aligned and evil-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

Death Attack (Ex?): If Yash'Mortis studies his victim for 3 rounds and then makes a sneak attack with a melee weapon that successfully deals damage, the sneak attack has the additional effect of possibly either paralyzing or killing the target (Yash'Mortis's choice). While studying the victim, Yash'Mortis can undertake other actions so long as his attention stays focused on the target and the target does not detect the assassin or recognize the assassin as an enemy. If the victim of such an attack fails a DC 42 Fortitude save against the kill effect, it dies. If the saving throw fails against the paralysis effect, the victim is rendered helpless and unable to act for 1d6 rounds plus 1 round per level of the assassin. If the victim's saving throw succeeds, the attack is just a normal sneak attack. Once Yash'Mortis has completed the 3 rounds of study, he must make the death attack within the next 3 rounds.

If a death attack is attempted and fails (the victim makes her save) or if Yash'Mortis does not launch the attack within 3 rounds of completing the study, 3 new rounds of study are required before he can attempt another death attack.

Poison (Ex): Contact, Fortitude DC 37, initial damage 1d4 Str and 1d4 Dex, secondary damage 1d6 Con. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Sneak Attack (Ex): Any time Yash'Mortis's opponent is denied its Dexterity bonus to AC, or if Yash'Mortis flanks his opponent, he deals an extra 18d6 points of damage. This ability is just like the rogue's sneak attack and subject to the same limitations.

Hide in Plain Sight (Su): Yash'Mortis can use the Hide skill even while being observed. As long as he is within 10 feet of some sort of shadow, Yash'Mortis can hide himself from view in the open without having anything to actually hide behind. He cannot, however, hide in his own shadow.

Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex): Yash'Mortis retains his Dexterity bonus to AC when flat-footed, and he cannot be flanked except by a rogue of at least 40th level. He can flank characters with the uncanny dodge ability as if he were a 36th-level rogue.

Quiescence (Su): Yash'Mortis is constantly silent, as per the silence spell, although the area does not extend beyond him. This quality gives him a +20 racial bonus on Move Silently checks (it is still possible for Yash'Mortis to create noise, such as by bumping into something that scrapes on the floor or by sounding a chime). Yash'Mortis can lower this effect at will.

Shapechange/alternate form/polymorph/whatnot (Su): (I think he should change forms and shape, but not get the powers of his other form)

Swift Tracker (Ex): Yash'Mortis can move at his normal speed while following tracks without taking the normal -5 penalty. He takes only a -10 penalty (instead of the normal -20) when moving at up to twice normal speed while tracking.

Skills: Yash'Mortis has a +8 racial bonus on any Swim check to perform some special action or avoid a hazard. He can always choose to take 10 on a Swim check, even if distracted or endangered. He can use the run action while swimming, provided he swims in a straight line.


"Charm of Summoning" (major artifact): (like a teleporter that brings any item he owns to him and returns things to his hiding place. if he has a large cache of weapons and other useful items, this would be very beneficial to him. sort of like a bag of holding extraordinaire.)

Soulculler (major artifact): This dark, glittering +6 dagger is made entirely from thinaun (Complete Warrior, page 136-137). If the dagger is touching a creature when it dies, that creature's soul is sucked into the weapon, and stored in the notches on the handle.

There is no known limit to the number of souls that this dagger can trap, and souls are not displaces when new ones are trapped. The wielder can release any soul trapped within the weapon at any time. This weapon acts as a dread weapon (Epic Level Handbook, page 130-131) against the species of any creature whose soul is trapped within it, though the body is not turned to dust.
