Two that I can think of. my wife, who plays occasionally still, and an ex-girlfriend who I assume does not play at all anymore since she only learned the game to spend more time with me.
Yes I have. More than I can remember, actually. The latest was this year, the newest player in my D&D group was fascinated by the art in one of the D&D books, so we started explaining the game to her, and she wanted to make a character. She liked it so much she joined the group. She's the "Hot Elf Babe" Bard of the party.
In the last 3 years I've introduced about 12 people to D&D. Most of them don't still play because I wasn't able to continue DM'ing for them for whatever reasons or they found interest in new things (like WoW...curse you WoW!).
A couple of them still play though. They really enjoy it.
