D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Moradin Domains?

Why doesn't Moradin have War as one of his domains?

PHB p.91: "He governs the arts and sciences of the dwarves: smithing, metal-working, engineering, and war."

Does anyone know if Moradin has War as a domain in 3.5 edition?

It's actually worse than that:

Moradin's domains are Good, Law, Earth and Protection!

Now, Good, Law and Earth all make perfect sense. But Protection makes no sense at all, since Moradin's portfolio makes no mention of any inherently protective role!

War would definitely make more sense for the big M than Protection. Moreover, almost all strong fighting races have gods with War domains (look at the list in Defenders of the Faith; only Hobgoblins get left out here, but they're screwy in any case--the Neutral Evil god of hobgoblins and goblins grants the Chaos domain to his Lawful Evil Hobgoblin worshippers?

Moradin is the dwarven All-Father god, protection is a function of that.

Clangadin Silverbeard is the dwarven god of battle.

mgagan, is your above excerpt from the 3.5 handbook, or from the 3.0 version?

3.0 But then War isn't listed as one of the domains. Earth, Good, Law and Protection are the listed domains.

Our DM allows only PHB deities for this particular campaign.

So is this not a FR campaign? If it is not then the only god for Dwarves would be Moradin.

Actually, its just from a Greyhawk campaign, they made some mistakes not bothering to look up old sources.
