D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 smart, tricky fighter build help please

I'd recommend if you're starting at 25 and can't get rid of any previous levelling decisions, to just bear it and make him Fighter 20 / Rogue 5. That way you can advance in epic Fighter and get bonus epic feats. You really don't want to go too deep into epic without reaching epic progression in a class, the bonus epic feats really, really help. Even though IMO if you could reshuffle your levels to have more rogue and less fighter and advance epic rogue, you'd probably be better off.

The best alternative is probably a 10 level prestige class (all 10 level prestige classes get an epic progression once you're past character level 20, DM might have to make one for it if WotC hasn't) that has sneak attack advancement. Are you limited to core books (Player's Handbook, DMG, Monster Manual), or not?

yea im bound strictly to core, my characters built around his ability to crit and i was hoping to work more on that, are there any epic feats that assist with that
