360 foot sword = overcompensating?

Not sure if anyone has thought of this before...

A medium character can use a medium short sword as a light weapon, a large one as a one-handed weapon and a huge one as a 2Her. This incurs penalties to hit, but whatever.

The monkeygrip feat in CW allows you to use a large 2Her at -2, so the shortsword can be garganutan.

Give the character a sunblade made for a giant, and the short sword is now a bastard sword. Assume that a 6 foot, medium character uses a bastard sword 4 feet long, and that proportions are conserved. Then a gargantuan bastard sword would be 30 feet long. (based on 40 foot height in the Giant Size spell from CA... naturally leading to)

Cast Gaint Size on the character, (perhaps they are a lvl 20 Wu-Jen) making them a 72 foot colossal humanoid. The sword which was 5 times as tall as them should now be 360 feet long.

And have 20 foot reach. :uhoh:

Seems that people have too much time on their hands.

No, let me rephrase that:

Time is definetly not in short supply here.

There, no we have a centuries-old pun in there. :D

No, it can't.

Monkey Grip for a Medium character only applies to weapons one size category larger - ie Large weapons. Large dagger, Large shortsword, Large longsword, Large greatsword.

Even though a Large creature can wield a Gargantuan shortsword as a two-handed weapon, a Medium creature with Monkey Grip cannot. Nor can he wield a Huge longsword. His feat does not apply to Huge or Gargantuan weapons, only Large ones.

I believe that the epic Wield Oversized weapon feat would suffice, if Monkey Grip would not.
The "treat as smaller weapon" would be immaterial, but making the weapon one size lighter means you can make it one size bigger.

BTW, make the wielder a half giant or Goliath and it could be even bigger.
