if any 4E books (expecting maybe the core 3) had print runs over 15 000 I'd be very shocked.
I would be extremely surprised if this was true. The Purple Pawn survey that was no the news page said that they track 6900 gaming businesses. You're talking about an average of 2 sales per book per business, including bigger businesses like B&N or Amazon. Since the big stores obviously pull the averages up, that means you're looking at something more like 1 book/store. Who would even bother giving shelf space to D&D if that were the case?
